Pattern Paper & Stamping in Valentine Cards

Hey there

I have been tidying the craft room- yes, it happens every now and again, and this is usually when i realise that i have made lots of cards and not yet shared them with you guys. So i thought i would share them with you now. It turns out these three have something in common- they all incorporate some pattern paper mixed with stamping to create valentines cards. Take a look —>

First up is this Valentines card featuring the elephant from HeroArts Elephant stamps -i always use the big fat chubby elephant, but rarely let this little guy out to play. I thought it was his time to shine. Its a simple peek-a-boo design incorporating some pattern paper as well.

You can’t really see in the photo above, but the yellow paper has a woodgrain effect. It is such a sweet yellow colour- perfect for Springtime! I also added a few hearts stuck along the fold to create a 3d heart embellishment. The best thing is that it folds flat for mailing!

Here is another Valentine’s card made with pattern paper. I used an envelope stamp (from a set that came free with a magazine) to create a design with lots of envelopes.  The ‘i love you’ sentiment is from a MyFavoriteThings stamp set – its is sweet, simple and perfect for the finishing touch.

I think the music paper and paper doily create a sweet romantic feel to the card.

Just one more to share – with this little guy! HELLO FOXY! He was bought at a craft fair and was unbranded – i think the stamps also came from a magazine once.  I simply couldn’t resist his cute face!

It also came with the chevron stamp that i embossed below mister fox – i didn’t quite line it up perfectly but never mind. It was the first time i used it so i was still trying to master it.

I used the sakura glaze pen to give him a cute shiny nose. And of course the grass and sky is made using distress ink.

Time to go and package all these guys up, and get crafting some more!

have a lovely day!

x
