Rossanowlagh Beach – Summery Memories!

Hey everyone,
Today I have a scrapbook layout to share. It’s funny how a single photo can bring back so many memories.

When we were growing up, summer holidays were full of fond memories of Rossanowlagh Beach. Every year we would go, with either friends or family. When we were very young, the beach meant jumping the waves with mummy, or building sandcastles. As we grew up, the beach meant playing with velcro-catch and digging massive dad-sized holes, and eventually it meant playing frisbee and catching the rays. No matter what we were doing, the beach always meant fun!

So the last time I was home in Northern Ireland, and Mum and Dad mentioned a trip to the beach, I jumped at the chance of re-living my childhood memories. I couldn’t help but take a photo through the car window of the ‘wee house’ that is the iconic feature of Rossanowlagh beach. All those memories came flooding back with just one glance of that stone structure. It makes me happy!

And so, it needed to be scrapped! With happy, bright summery colours, perfect for the beach! It was fun putting it all together.

Love it!!

Thanks for stopping by.

(p.s. just figured out that Rossnowlagh doesn’t have an ‘a’ in the middle. Whoopsies! ah, well, it did in my memories, so i’m not bothered’. hee heee!)

MYM – Just saying hello

Hi everyone, Just popping in to say hello and share this weeks Miss You Monday card

Life’s been pretty busy at the mo.
Learning to drive means that I have lessons a couple of times a week plus I need to get out and practise my manoeuvres as much as possible. The fantastic weather is great, but means that most of our days have been spent with friends by the Barbecue rather than in my craft room. Plus we’re undertaking a maSSive project at work, which means that i’m pretty exhausted by the time I get home and sometimes just want to chill. Good thing is that we’ve started a rental subscription to Blockbusters, so i’m enjoying at least one movie night a week which makes me a happy bunny. :0)

With the sun in the sky, how could i resist a lovely bright, summery card for todays Miss You Monday feature!? And i looove how it turned out.

And yes, that is a little greeting from the ‘Classic Sayings’ stamp set from Hero Arts! ♥♥♥

Blowing Bubbles (& a Winner!)

I cant begin to tell you how much I love this little stamp set from Hero Arts! ♥

I bought them as part of my NSD treat and when they arrived I was a little disappointed because i thought they were going to be bigger than they actually were, but oohhh boy, Hero Arts totally called it! They are the perfect size! They are fantastic for little notelets, on cards, as an embellishment on a scrapbook page and for making border strips like I did with this card.

This card is so stupidly easy but i am totally in love with it. It makes me go awwwww.♥

The stamp is from Penny Black Hugs clear stamp set, and I’ve used distress inks and a watercolour brush to colour it it. Then I used nestabilities and my cuttlebug to cut the image into the shape of a circle, and another scalloped circle for layering. The embossed dots are the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder. {♥}
