A layout today! Hip Hip Hurray!! ♥

I am definitely out of the swing of scrapbooking, but I have to admit that I was so pleased with myself that I was able to craft for longer than a few minutes without morning sickness ruining my fun! I’m glad to see that baby is cooperating a bit better now and hopefully has resigned himself/ herself to the fact that Mummy needs to craft.

And now that I was able to craft, I was so excited to be making my first layout about our big news. Even when I was peeing on these sticks I was wondering if these would be the ones that would be featuring on the inevitable ‘pregnancy test’ layout! Oh I am such a craft-geek through and through! I love it! ♥

I was so excited to get back in the crafty mood that I never really thought much about this layout, I just made it, so Im really happy with the result.

I just love rounding those corners with my corner chomper! Nom Nom Nom!! :0)

I hope you like it too.

Miss You Monday – A Froggy Friend

I’d like to introduce you to my froggy friend! This green cutie was salvaged from a giftbag from years ago – seriously, it must be at least 5-6 years ago! The design is actually on printed plasma, so it is quite rigid, and i knew that one day he would find himself on a card or other craft project. And today was his day!

I thought he would make a super cute MYM card, and i’m sure Randolph will love it, not to mention his Mummy Sarah.

The background paper is from a sizzix little sizzles watercolour paper pack, and I loved the wavy design that gives a watery effect. The little dragonfly stamp is from a Studio G 99p pack – i think i must have dozens of these little gems- i love ‘em!

To make the lily pad, i used my We R Memory Keepers magnetic circle cutter to cut two arcs, then using scissors I cut out a triangle. Of course, I added a little Distress Ink for good measure – peeled paint worked a trick!

Best of all – the greeting is from one of the newest additions to my craft stash – the Hero Arts all occasion messages. I’ve been dreaming about these stamps for a while now – what a perfect birthday present!

To make it easy to write in the inside, I added a little label using petite ovals and Petite Scallop Ovals spellbinders dies, through my equally marvellously green Cuttlebug.

This card really does make me smile, i hope it has the same effect on you guys too!

Have a wonderful Monday, and I hope you get to have some crafty fun today!

A Busy Weekend & A Quick & Easy Miss You Monday Card

Another weekend over, hope you’re ready to start the week all over again!

I’ve had a busy one this weekend, because Craig and I are house hunting! Yeay!! Between searching online, booking appointments, checking out local areas and calculating the budget, its been hard work. But I know it will all pay off. I hope it all goes smoothly!

Another thing in life just now – at work we are preparing for fundraising day. We are selling raffle tickets to raise money for Debra, Macmillan cancer appeal and X, but we are also hosting a fundraising day to help gather some money for such a great cause. We are having a ‘Guess the Name of the Teddy competition’, so after buying a cute little bear in town, I put together a quick page using freebie digital scrapbooking kits. {By the way, it was Criag’s idea to put the name ‘Andrew’ in there?!!?!? I don’t think anyone would name their teddy Andrew?! Would they?!! }

We are also doing a “guess the number of sweeties in the jar”. We are trying to figure out if we can put together a jar easily ourselves, but we may go for this pre-made charity jar. They count the number of sweeties already and email it to you so you don’t have to count them yourself. I thought that was a crackin’ idea!

The other thing we are doing is a Treasure Map – where you guess where the treasure is hidden. Of course, I jumped at the chance of drawing the map, and i’ve been having lots of fun with my distress inks. Here’s what it looks like so far: (dodgy phone camera photo)

Okay, so with a weekend full of house hunting and preparing fundraising ideas, I had to make a quick and easy Miss You Monday card for Sarah. So this is it:

Products used:
Fly free stamp – Unity Stamps
Butterfly stamp – Unity stamps
Mask – I made this myself, I simply cut out a heart from thin copy paper.
Distress ink – Worn lipstick
