About me
Hungry Heffy Crafts is a website dedicated to the passion I hold for crafting. For many years I was frustrated by the fact that although I love crafting and there is so much to learn out there, I wasn’t able to gain the knowledge fast enough. This was usually due to the fact that I didn’t live near very many crafting shops. As I got more and more interested in the very many fun and wonderful areas of the craft world, I started working in craft shops and as a craft demonstrator. Before long I realised that I now have the opportunity to offer this knowledge to others who feel the same way that I did. So I hope you enjoy reading about my crafty projects and learn something new about this wonderful hobby, and maybe even tell your friends about Hungry Heffy Crafts.
My name is Lesley Oman and i am a 28 year old graduate who sees the beauty in the unexpected, and the inspiration from the mundane. I get easily excited by patterned paper and buttons and dream of a day where I have a room full of ribbons. I am a simple girl, just wanting to create personal masterpieces that I can be proud of. I am lucky enough to have a wonderfully supportive husband, and we have just embarked upon another adventure in life as we became proud parents to a beautiful baby girl in March this year.
I have worked as a freelance demonstrator for a UK craft company Trimcraft and have performed demonstrations in the past for suppliers, stockists and manufacturers, so you may have seen my face in a few craft shops around the UK. I have also organised and held craft classes for both adults and children, and have made a few downloadable craft classes which are free to share. I’ve now moved on to making videos of projects as well as sharing photographs of my crafty creations.
So please take a look around the website and if you have any questions, comments or suggestions I would be thrilled to hear from you, just drop me an email at lez@hungryheffycrafts.com

just discovered your you tube videos and love the way you explaine things so easy to listen to.
I watched your youtube video on creating a flower using Candi from Craftwork Cards. I am interested in the tacky glue you used. I could not see the name of the product and am really interested in this glue that is still flexible after it dries. Could you send me the name of the glue and a suggestion as to where I can purchase it online? Thank you so much, Becky
Hi Becky, the name of the glue is Anita’s tacky glue. You can get in most craft retailers in the uk- try http://www.craftsuperstore.co.uk
It is made by a manufacturer called Do crafts- maybe their website will have a list of distributers.
Hope you find it- of not, let me know. X
Hi Lesley
I see you are a local girl, well local to Guildford
) – do you do any workshops locally please?
Hi there Kazzy! I live in Lindford now but still work in Guildford. I dont have any workshops just now but am thinking about either starting workshops or crops locally. What kind of workshops would you be interested in? Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting! x lesley
Did you know that Anderson the reporter gives many people who apear on his show one of those receivers for your cell phone. You won’t be alone anyway.
I watched the video on the Elephant card…..very cute…..
I am very interested in the cutting board you use, the one with diagonal as well as verticle and horizontal lines? Where can I purchase one.
I just found your site today and am already addicted. Thank you.
Hi carla, thanks for your comment, i must make some more videos soon to feed your new addiction. the cutting mat is made by a brand called Xcut, i think its a UK brand, but you may be able to pick it up in other countries too. from a quick google search i can see that amazon.co.uk have a few in stock (they are the newer colour range of pink & black) but you may also be able to buy some of the blue ones if you prefer that colour, i spied one of the WH Smith website. x
enjoy.

I also just discovered your site. Saw one of your how-to videos on EK Success. Is there any way I can find out where to get stamps or supplies you use on any card you have made?
