Good Morning Honey Bees! Welcome to our November Release Honey Hop!!!

Lisa. But for now… brace yourself…as today I have a few projects to share, featuring the new LITTLE PICKUP and SENDING YOU SENTIMENTS stamp sets!

For the main event today, I have used the awesome pick up image to create a Christmas card that lights up. To do this, I have used the Chibitronics circuit stickers and built these into the design of my card.

I think this is an especially fun card because it doesn’t even really look like a light up card – but this is what happens if I press the top right corner of the card…

As this is a Christmas card, I decided to use the Christmas tree as cargo in my truck – but I love that there are so many different accessories in this stamp set which means that it can be used all year round. Be sure to check out the tags at the end of this post to see how I have used one design to create a variety of different styled tags!

Did you notice that my little Christmas tree has fairy lights? I used the fairy lights stamp set from the More Flakey Friends set – they were just the perfect size for my mobile Christmas tree!

I have coloured the pick up with some copic markers, and added some enamel accents to the tyres to make them dimensional and glossy. The Sending You Sentiments stamp set has so many options – I chose a simple Christmas greeting and embossed it in white so it would pop against the ink blended background.

As soon as I saw the Little Pickup stamp set, I knew that I had to pair this truck up with some LEDs! It was
especially fun to link different coloured lights together. Here is a closer look at the circuit I designed, just in case you wanted to give it a try for yourself.

To finish the card, I used a stencil to add some white embossing paste which creates a lovely snowy feel to the card!

Remember I mentioned that these stamps could be used all year round! Take a look at these fun SHAKER TAGS I have made.

One design, but three very different feels!  I used a tag die to create six card tags, then cut an aperture in three using a scalloped square die. I added colour with a little ink blending on each, and after stamping a greeting inside, I built each of them up into shaker tags using foam tape, and a mix of sequins and seed beads. Then the trucks were all stamped on neenah cardstock and coloured with copic markers before adding these onto the tags.
