I have a friend and colleague called Karen who I really admire. She is one of these people who is very knowledgeable and intelligent, and yet is so humble and approachable. She is always there with a smile on her face to help me out if I need it. No matter how silly you think the question may be, Karen will make you feel intelligent even if the answer is staring you right in the face!
Back in December last year, Karen came to help me out at my Centre so we could catch up on all those things that you know need to be done but you never have time to do them, and it was absolutely brilliant. I learned a lot from Karen, and I wanted to give her a little something to show my appreciation for her help and friendship. Well, actually its not for her, its for her little girl Zara, who is the cutest little darling and naturally – the centre of Karen’s life.
So here it is – a little note book especially for Zara, and it was really easy peasy to make – a great gift idea for kids, teachers, Mums, friends….any one really!
All you need is your Bind It All & binding, some chipboard – or sturdy cardboard like the backing sheet of a A4 pad of paper or a cereal packet, and some scraps of pattern paper. For the inside I used some record cards – which I managed to pick up from tescos for less than £1.00. To give this project an extra girly feel I added some bling on the flowers using Glossy Accents, which is such a brilliant adhesive that I know for sure they wont fall off; and some glitter stickers. I also used my finger to smudge the glossy accents over the letter stickers to secure them firmly to the cover – just in case little fingers try to pry them off.
So here it is! It only takes a few minutes to make and would be a great gift. So give it a go!
Thanks for looking, and Karen – thanks for all your help!
