If you know me you know that I love ribbons and i love buttons. So today, I am going to share a quick and easy way to make a bow for your crafty projects which look fabulous with a button, brad, or any embellishment on top.
First, take a length of ribbon and make a loop.
Where you are holding the loop between your finger and thumb, make a small stitch or use a stapler/ glue dot to attach the two pieces of ribbon together.
Lie the two end lengths along a flat surface so the loop is vertical.
Using your finger tip, push the top of the loop down towards the table.
Sew in place or secure with another staple or glue dot. Now you can cover this with a button or another cute embellishment.
This is a great way to use up those small lengths of ribbon as due to the fact that you are not tying a knot around the bow as in the normal way, you don’t need as much length to get a great finished result. It also means that you can make sure that each of your bow loops are completely even.
And tomorrow I’m gonna show you what i’ve done with this bow.
Until then, happy crafting. :0)
