Ok so it’s not really anything to do with crafting, but i love this time of year and so many of my crafty pals in the USA have been decorating their houses with beautiful Autumn displays, so I couldn’t help myself.
One day whilst walking home from work i found an acorn, and I got so excited, autumn was finally here and a few days later I went out to spend some time ‘collecting Autumn’. I picked out brown, red and yellow leaves, and even tried to dry them out with my heat gun (by the way, it didn’t really work, it just made them smell, so i left them to dry out by themselves). I’ve also used the pumpkins that we picked a couple of weeks back, check out the photos here. Can’t wait to make some pumpkin pie with them and roast the seeds for munching.
You may also recognise the black cut out tree shape. It’s a jewellery stand that I used as a mask to create my layout entitled Grow. Sorry I can’t link to it just now because it is apparently getting published in Scrapbook News and Reviews this weekend. Its my first publication, so I’m not really gonna believe it until I see it! Very exciting!!
My tub of orange buttons also made it to the mantle piece, because they just looked too cute, and you may recognise Mr. Hedgehog from my Nannie’s memory mini book.
Although one thing I will say, is that it is very difficult to convince my kitty Miya that the raffia is for decoration, not for playing with!
Another layout coming this weekend, so pop back to see me then, and thanks for looking.
