Hey Everyone,
Just checking in quickly to say hi.
My weekend is drawing to a close, but it has been fun, fun, fun. First my Friday was spent in the kitchen, cooking and baking ready for Thanksgiving dinner. My duties included a cauliflower cheese, mac & cheese and three pumpkin pies. It was a lovely evening, and a huge thanks to Zoe & Chris for hosting this year – and for that turkey which was AmaZinG. YUM YUM YUM. We had lots of food, wine and of course fun. I brought my ‘Thankful’ project and everyone filled in their cards. Then a litter later on, jer read them out and we all guessed who wrote them. Someone mentioned the three Fs – Friends, Family & Football, others mentioned chocolates, and there were even a few odd ones that mentioned modern bathing, and the LHC (if you don’t know what that means then you aren’t a geek). I can’t wait to get these into a mini book or layout. Cheers you guys.
Saturday and Sunday were leftover days – as states apres-thanksgiving tradition. Computer games and crafting day – its what weekends are intended for. I’ve been trying to convince Craig to bring down the Chrsitmas tree out of the attic, but he is holding fast to the rule book and says that it won’t be coming down until December 1st. What he doesn’t know is that i was listening to Christmas songs all day on Friday when he wasn’t here so I am feeling super Christmassy. Heehee.
So in anticipation of the first day of December, I decided to make use of my weekend of crafting to get into the Christmas spirit by making my December Daily album. This is the first December Daily that I have participated in, and it took me a while to figure out if I would do it or not, simply because after get home from work, my evenings are pretty minimal so there may not be very much excitement to write about – but i definitely have a few things planned for December, and I rarely run out of things to say, so i’m sure I won’t struggle too much. So I’m gonna take some photos of my album tomorrow and get them up here for you to see. I’ve included quite a few interactive pages to add interest to the album, and mixed up the page sizes and shapes.
Will you be participating in December Daily this year? There’s still time for you to join in the fun if you haven’t already made one, and if you want to put one together quickly, I would definitely recommend following these useful guidelines from Noell at Paperclipping. And if you want more information about the project itself, check out the Dec Daily Queen herself -Ali Edward, and her blog post for Dec Daily 2009. You can also check out here 2008 album here.
I hope you do decide to join us, and please come on over and join the Dec Daily group over at The Paperlife Community where you can catch up on our progress, and get lots of ideas and inspiration, and don’t forget that you can also keep track of December Daily info on twitter using the hashtag #decdaily. And you can follow me at www.twitter.com/hungryheffy.
But as we are still in November for now, here’s some Thanksgiving pics to share, and I’ll have my December Daily album up as soon as poss.
Thanks for looking, oh an one more thing –
