Another Thank You card to share today, this time with pretty butterflies made using distress inks and the butterfliy stamps from Gaia. I love these stamps as they are so versatile and give a fantastic finish.
To make the basis of the card, I die cut two pieces of white cardstock with my nestabilities and stuck them together at the top using double sided sticky tape. Also using the nestabilities, I cut a smaller shape from white cardstock, then embossed the polkadots onto it using a Hero Arts Raindrop stamp and white embossing powder. When this was cool, I inked over the top using broken china distress ink, then wiped over the top using a damp paper towel. This removes all the ink from the embossed parts and gives a great contrast. I matted this unto blue card, and stuck in place.
The greeting is another Hero Art stamp from a set called ‘A Million Thanks’, stamped in broken china ink then embossed using clear powder. As finishing touches, I added a bow and some little dots of liquid pearls onto the embossed dots, and of course a little bit of soft ‘broken china’ blue colour to the edges with my ink blending applicator.
Thanks for looking, and please feel free to leave me a comment here.
