Hi Everyone,
We’ve touched down safe and sound back in Sunny Guildford! Well, the last part isn’t exactly true, because the rain has been falling since we got home from Northern Ireland. I don’t mind, because it reminds me that Autumn is on its way, but my poor little kitty Miya is not very impressed that she can’t get outside for an adventure without getting wet. She has been loudly proclaiming her disapproval all day. 🙁
Today, another boy card (gasp!!). Can you believe it!? Well, I suppose I shouldn’t be so presumptious, as I am sure there are many rockchicks out there that might like this card too. haha!
For the base of this card I used some pattern cardstock from the Rockstar stack from DCWV. I love the designs in these packs, and they coordinate perfectly with the chipboard embellishments from the same collection, which is where the guitar design comes from. The guitar is foiled, so gives an element of superstar pizzazz to the final project. I also used the distressed stripes embossing folder from Cuttlebug to make the central panel, which adds dimension to the card. Once I embossed the cardstock, I rubbed Pumice Stone distress ink over the raised areas to give the grey colour.
The stamp is from Personal Impressions clear stamp set called Big Sentiments, and I cut the oval using Petite Ovals Nestabilities through my cuttlebug.
Thanks for looking, maybe i’ll be in more of a girly mood again soon?
Oh, and you better come back tomorrow because I FINALLY have another video tutorial to share…. :0)
