MAN-day Monday: Suuper Mariiiiiiiioooo

Welcome to another MAN-day Monday everyone. Thanks for joining me today. 🙂

I have a little box of cards that I sell at my hubby’s work and as he works in the computer games industry, when I spied some Super Mario badges for sale at my local pound shop, i couldn’t resist buying them. I just know there will be lots of people at his work that want ‘geek-chic’ cards! And what’s better than the legendary retro plumber himself?

I wanted to create a scene for the basis of the card, so i used a journaling stamp to stamp the green blocks at the bottom of the card. It reminds me of those little pixely computer screens on the gameboy (ohh geez, remember the gameboy!??)

I mounted the badge onto the card using some foam tape, but i removed some of the stickiness first by tapping the tape onto my jumper a few times first of all. I wanted to make sure it was sticky enough to hold to the card, but easy enough to remove without tearing the card.

To create a sense of movement i pulled out my beloved eyelets (that have been in hibernation i think) and made a ‘boing’ line. {press A to jump, double tap A to double jump….boiiiiing!} 🙂

Forget about boys, even I would love this card!!
