Congratulations Woody and Caelia! I can’t believe you guys got engaged at the top of the Eiffel Tower. It’s as if you were actually living in a movie, so very romantic. It’s only fitting that my Eiffel tower stamps made an appearance for this one.
I wanted to choose a different colour scheme for this card, so i told myself no reds allowed. Instantly i was magnetically drawn to grey. I don’t know why, but i love grey. Don’t get me wrong, if you know me then you know i need colour, but that is the very reason that i am so confused over my love of grey. I find it so pretty.
I used Pumice Stone distress ink to repeatedly stamp the image onto a piece of card, and then cut out a heart shape. I did this three more times and then folded each heart in half, sticking them all together to create an X shape. I love the way this creates a dimension shape but still folds flat for posting.
Next I covered the front of a small card with grey striped paper from the dots and stripes collection from Echo Park and used candy floss distress ink to blend a little pink blush colour onto the card, then stuck the heart on top. To finish, a little plain and simple congratulations stamp from Hero Arts stamped onto a strip of white card which had been blushified using the candy floss distress ink and a blending tool. Simple elegance. C’est magnifique. 🙂
Congrats again you two! x
