Handwritten Words & Greetings Cut On The Silhouette

Hey there

I have been experimenting more with my silhouette and one of the things that i really love about it is being able to cut out greetings and words in my own handwriting. I have been sketching words every now and again and managed to get a few imported into the silhouette software to cut out. I LOVE IT! I cut them in white so I could colour and ink them to match any project. Here is some examples of how i used them.

Notes: chipboard heart inked with chalk ink, baby word- cut with silhouette and inked with spun sugar and worn lipstick distress ink. Swiss dots embossing folder, cuttlebug and washi tape.

Notes: stamps: butterfly from making memories, happy words from Paula Pascual, grey ink shadow ink from Hero Arts, birthday greeting- my own handwriting cut with silhouette, inked with distress ink and spritzed with water

Want to know how I did these little beauties?

Having a kiddywink in the house means that we have several drawing and painting apps on my iPhone and iPad- but I found this one to be the bestest, i love it so – “Drawing with Carl“. You do have to pay for it, but its so awesome you probably wont care. There are lots of brushes, a colour picker and slider function so you can get the perfect colour, and you can save to your camera roll or email. I would use my finger or a stylus to write a word, then I would email to my inbox, import into the Silhouette software, trace and cut. simples. love it!
