Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
or as I like to call it – Kinder Egg Day! We have a bit of a tradition in our household on 14th February, you can read more about that in this post.
I have two cute critter cards to share today. I wanted to use my Spectrum Noir colouring pencils so i reached for some animal stamps – but to create a card that was a little different i wanted the critters to peek out of a window – thats why i call these peekaboo cards.
I used a square punch to create the rectangle aperture, but also used some lawn fawn and paper smooches dies to created the stitched rectangle, speech bubble and HAPPY die cut.
I wanted to use both the negative and positive of the HAPPY die cut, so i made two cards. Here’s the other one.
I even used the punch out grey square from the first card to create a background for the elephant.
Using the negative of the die cut word HAPPY was a bit tricker- because of those little bits inside the letters. To make life easy i stuck some acetate behind the die cut panel so i had something to adhere the inside bits to. Then i raised the panel up with foam squares.
I think they are super cute!
Thanks for stopping by guys.x
