Hello there crafty friends!
It was a bank holiday weekend with us this weekend, and unfortunately we had a poorly pickle, so i never got to post a video on Sunday as i had originally planned. But better late than never, huh?!
This is a Get Well Soon card for my Uncle Robin, who had some much awaited surgery last week. We visited him when Piper and I were in Ireland last month, and we all sat on his bed and looked thorough his sketchbooks and art stash – Piper even drew a picture inside a sketchbook and used his polychromos pencils to colour it in – (I’m not jealous!!! :-S ok, maybe i am!!)
I didn’t really want to put Get Well Soon on the card, but thought that it would look better with a greeting saying “wishing you a speedy recovery”. Of course, i didn’t have any perfect stamps with exactly that greeting, but in the video you can see how i made it work with the supplies that i do have! 🙂
The card also features some die cutting combos! Once again, i knew what i wanted to do, so i played around with what i already have in order to make it work! I think it turned out pretty cute!
