Hey everyone! I hope you are having a Happy Weekend!
I am a happy crafter because I got some awesome happy mail and I have been working on a few projects for the #HoneyBeeStamps blog. I hope you will join me this week when I share the whole project but for now, a sneaky peeky to whet your appetite!
I am so excited to be on the Design team! And, whats more, there is a full team of really awesome crafters that I know you will love! I stand amongst a super talented bunch! 😀 You can read more about everyone in the HoneyBeeStamps design team by visiting this blog post! And this is what our little hive looks like! {pssst…thats me, beneath the bumblebee!} What an awesome family of crafty bees!
But for today, I want to share a card that I made using the Mama Elephant Unicorns and Rainbows stamp set.
In the stamp set (which is super awesome by the way), there are two little teeny weeny fairies. They are so cute, but due to their petite size, I was using the other images in the stamp set more. I thought i would challenge myself to make a card where these cuties were the stars of the show!
The design of the card is pretty simple, but i love the final results. The inlaid die cutting technique was perfect to create a one-layer background, but with a fun twist due to the cloud shapes and hints of colour. I love the way the soft distress ink colours brings a sweetness to the card!
I wanted to add a little magic, and the star droplet image was a perfect little touch, mixed with some liquid platinum embossing powder. I even added a little holographic embossing powder over a snow stamp that i stamped behind the fairies…but you cannot really see it on camera.
It felt like ages since i made a square card… i really must make some more soon!
I’m posting on the #HoneyBeeStamps blog on Monday, so please join me there! But for now, here’s the video tutorial for today’s card!
Have a great weekend, and happy crafting!!
