Hello my crafty friends!
It’s March! Can you believe it!? I swear that life has been one big blur at Casa del Oman ever since Christmas! Between crafty conferences, launching the new Honey Bee Stamps line which I helped design, and starting a new full-time job, i’ve been moving non-stop! On top of this, we have experienced some technical issues with my camera, laptop and video editing software – so I do have to apologise that my videos haven’t been as regular recently. Sorry about that, but the good news is that I do have a video to share today! YAY!
Last month I shared another card using these cute Fall Mice from Gerda Steiner Designs, but I was itching to colour them with my copic markers. I think they are so adorable! This started as an idea for a valentines card, which is why I used pink and orange tones of distress inks for the background, but in the end i created a more generic card with a simple ‘sending love’ greeting.
To add some texture, I used the falling hearts stencil from Simon Says Stamp to add some embossing paste, but first I mixed in some ultra fine glitter called Glamour Dust. I love this glitter, as it is so sparkly, and it mixes really well with the paste. The camera doesn’t capture the full sparkliness of it, which is a real shame!
Be sure to watch the video for the full tutorial, and I hope to be back on Monday with a fun Honey Bee Stamps blog post where we are celebrating Kathy Racoosin’s 30 day colouring challenge! I can’t wait! :0)
Happy crafting my friends!
