Hello Gorgeous – Creating A Stamped Patterned Paper Look ft Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Crafty friends!

It’s Lesley again, and today I am playing with the Playful Pups stamp set to create a fun patterned paper look for my card!

I love it when stamp sets have a selection of smaller images – these are perfect for creating your own backgrounds. I started my project today by die cutting a rectangle of card to A2 size, then used a grey ink to stamp lines of images along the card. I staggered them slightly to create more interest, and masked off the stitched border so it stayed ink-free.

Next up I die cut two of the frames using a die from another manufacturer, but for one of them, i covered it with the same dye ink. When i layered the grey underneath the white frame, I offset it slightly so it looks like a shadow. This is a fun way to bring the same colour tones into the rest of your image.

Next up i stamped two cute doggies and the food bowl and coloured these in with my copic markers. I also used the chisel tip of a teal coloured marker to add colour to a scratch piece of card then white heat embossed the word sweetheart from the Hello Gorgeous stamp set! I used my trimmer and scissors to cut it down into a fishtail banner shape.

Whilst I had my Hello Gorgeous stamp set out, I decided to stamp the word Hello using the two tone effect. For this i used my MISTI, first with the light ink, then added the darker ink to the bottom half of my stamp. To get a more freckled look, I tapped a paper towel over the inked stamp slightly. Once the ink was dry, i cut out the image with the coordinating die and layered this onto die cut foam for some dimension. I also added a few layers of my wink of stella clear glitter brush marker and finished the card with some sequins from the Honey Bee Stamps store!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again next Monday when I am back on the blog

Have a great day
