Hey everyone. A few things to share quickly today.
Firstly, How awesome is this necklace?! Do you think Tim Holtz would be offended if I confessed that I saw it and thought of him? Found at Primark for the bargain price of £3, when I spied it all I could think of was pulling it apart and putting it on crafty projects. Although I kinda wish I bought two now because it looks lovely as an actual necklace too, especially for special occasions…..I guess I might have to go back again this weekend…
I am feeling an orange vibe this week, and I am loving my Unity Stamps KOTM (Kit of the month), so I have mixed them up with these two quick cards.
The first one was a bit of a play session. I decided to make a little scene using the stamps in the kit, by using post-it notes as masks. I think it turned out kinda cute.
And both are made using MME Bloom & Grow papers, which I think brings a touch of brightness and whimsey. LOVE IT!
Thanks for popping by, and tomorrow, I have a video to share. See you then.
Just popping in to share another commission project with you. Following the craft fair that I attended before Christmas, someone emailed me and asked me to make a custom designed accessory holder for a friend named Sarah. I wanted to make it fun and funky, with bright colours and with cute sassy style. So I made a little banner (which is very ‘in’ right now), and also used some old fabric to make little pink lollypop flowers. I also used the blue kanzashi flowers that I made for this post.
The colours of the papers remind me of Spring, and of the flowers that are starting to emerge in the garden!! Yeay! I’m glad Winter is behind us and the sun is starting to make appearances again.
Thanks for looking. You can look at the three other Accessory Holders I have made here, here and here and don’t forget to leave me a comment by clicking here.
I wanted to share this video tutorial on how to make Paper Roses, especially before Valentine’s day this weekend! I am getting addicted to making these flowers, and I have big plans to put them onto a home decor project. {Watch this space!}
Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see more pictures of the paper roses.
The sample card that I have made features this Luxury Paper stack from DCWV.
I love the pearlescent sheen and the sheer elegance of these papers (well, in fact they are more scrapbook cardstock quality then paper). It makes them perfect for wedding cards, or romantic projects. As you can see from the video, I also spritzed the rose with some Pearl Glimmer Mist to give the rose an equally elegant sheen. I wonder who is going to be the lucky person who gets this card!
