Honey Bee Stamps

Hello little honey bees! Happy Monday to you! I am over on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog today with a fun, interactive slider card!

I shared a sneak peek of this on Instagram last week, and I am excited to finally reveal the full card to all of you!

This card features the snail from the Special Delivery set, hearts from the Country Wreath stamp set, the word FABULOUS from the Beautiful Life set, and lots of words from the Sentiment Builder set! Oh my, oh my… I love the sentiment builder stamp set so much – you can get so many different greetings from one stamp set!

AND, I thought it would be fun to share a video tutorial, so you guys can all get a chance to see how I made the card, and see me in action! But before that, lets have a quick run down and some close up photos!

I decided that for a change I would colour mister snail with my Spectrum Noir colouring pencils as I hadn’t used them in a while. I also used a little of the blending solution to blend the pencil lines a little! I didn’t blend too much on his shell because I quite liked the texture it gave the shell.

For the greeting, I used good old black ink next to some pink colours for the word Fabulous! I used my misti tool to stamp it in a light pink ink first of all, then I stamped over the top once again but with only the bottom section of the stamp inked up in a darker tone of ink. The Misti tool sure does make techniques like this pretty easy to achieve, and I love the final look! I simply love the way you can mix and match these stamps to create lots of greetings!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to watch the video to see the full run through on how I made todays card!

🙂 Have a happy day, my little bees!

Masked Floral Thank You Card

Happy Monday everyone!

I am sharing a card over on the Honey Bee Stamp Blog today, and I am happy that you stopped by!

We have been simply buzzing about the New Release! If you haven’t had a chance to see whats new, be sure to fly by the HoneyBeeStamps Shop to see some awesome new stamps and dies! You will love them!

For today’s card though, I am using one of my old favourites – the Country Wreath set, to make this fresh, floral card, where the beautiful stamped images frame the die cut greeting.

This card involved a lot of masking and fussy cutting, but I think the effort is very much worth the final result!  First I masked a strip of the card using washi tape, then stamped on either side of the tape using the Country Wreath stamps in dye based ink. I built up the effect of layers by masking each flower that I stamped, before stamping other flowers and foliage around it.

To add dimension to the card, I raised up the inner panel ( cut using a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die) and added a layer of craft foam and pink cardstock underneath. It’s hard to see the pink layer when you look head on, but from the side I think it really makes the pink flowers pop!

I used a Paper Smooches die to cut out the word thanks from the same pink cardstock several times, and stuck them on top of each other to create the feel of a nice sturdy chipboard product. To give a lovely shine, I then embossed it with some clear embossing powder and finished the card with some teeny tiny adhesive pearls.

There’s a video tutorial here so you can see the whole process!

AND WAIT, there is more good news! Firstly, if you like the look of the card, but aren’t keen on fussy cutting, you could check out the Country Blooms stamp set. This set would give you a similar effect in a fraction of the time.  And the other great news…. the Country Wreath set now comes with co-ordinating dies! SWOOON!! I have placed by order already, and cannot wait for them to get here!

Thanks for stopping by, and before I go, don’t forget that everyone that places an order on the Honey Bee Stamps shop will get an exclusive free gift in their package… – but the offer finishes today, so hurry, hurry over to shop and give your self a little sweet treat! 🙂

Have a great day!

Hello Everyone!

I am over on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog today, showcasing another card made using the Special Delivery Stamp set.  This time, I got inky with the ink smooshing technique, using distress inks to create an ombre effect in the background. I mixed this up with some embossing resist and die cutting for a fun card!

Hop on over to the Honey Bee Stamps blog to find out more details on how I made the card!

Have a happy day!
