Honey Bee Stamps

Hey everyone,

I have another Honey Bee Stamps card to share today, and SURPRISE …bonus video week! i don’t normally do more than one video in a week, but I had some extra time so I decided to treat you all!

I’m sure you will know that i love to mix and match my stamps. I find it really fun! But i also really enjoy looking at my stamps, and coming up with new and interesting ways to use them. Often I can be caught inspecting my stamp sets, and rotating them round and round, squinting that them, and before too long… EUREKA… inspiration strikes!

I had one of these Eureka moments when I got my Special Delivery Stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps. This set has a mix of sentiments and images, and one image was a paperclip. I had the idea to use the paperclip as petals for a flower!

This was a go-with-the-flow kinda card, and I used a piece of patterned paper from my stash, and then the rest of the card design I had to fit around that. It was fun!

I reached for my overflowing and now-hardly-ever-used stash of bakers twine to add a little tactile fun to the card. 🙂 To add a finishing touch, I die cut a tag and embossed the ‘with love’ greeting which is also from the Special Delivery stamp set.

have a great week, but let me leave you with the video tutorial where you will see how i made this card in a bit more detail.

have a crafty day!

HBS – Special Delivery

Hey Everyone! and Happy Independence Day to all my American friends! I hope you have a wonderful celebratory day!

I am over on the Honey Bee Stamps blog today, showcasing how I made this card with the cute postman snail and the handstamped background! I think it kinda looks like pattern paper, but I promise you, it was stamped using mini images from the ‘Special Delivery’ Stamp set.

Head on over to the HBS blog for more info on how i made the card.

Ciao for now!

Hey everyone,

Independence Day is fast approaching for our US friends, and so this week Honey Bee Stamps are celebrating by having a red, white and blue week! Be sure to hop over to the Honey Bee Stamps blog this week and follow @honeybeestamps on instagram.

This fun will be starting today, Monday 27th June, and will run through until Monday 4th July. During this week, the Design Team will be posting their creations using the Red, White & Blue colour theme, and I wanted to share my project with you guys today!

I mixed a little distress inking with white embossing to make this red, white and blue card. I reached for the #HoneyBeeStamps Special Delivery stamp set for the bird, banner and ‘sending you’ image, and the little stars are from the Country Wreath stamp set. I just love the way the white embossed stars really pop against the vibrant blue background!

The card base is embossed using the swiss dots embossing folder from cuttlebug, and both the circle and scalloped circle I have created using the inlaid die cutting technique.

HoneyBeeStamps are challenging their customers, friends & crafty kids to play along with the challenge! Please share your creations on the Honey Bee Stamps Website, Honey Bee Stamps Facebook Page or on Instagram using the hashtag #HBSChallenge so that we can see everything you create! You can share anything crafty (cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media). And whilst HBS love to see you use Honey Bee Stamp products, its not required to order to participate.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lesley xx
