Card Making

VIDEO CAN BE FOUND HERE —> https://youtu.be/QWLNs288UwI

Hello everyone. I am delighted to be part of this special MEGA blog hop that the wonderful Justine Hovey has organised – which is a ‘Save the Crafty YouTuber’ hop.

Just incase you are not aware, YouTube has recently changed their regs, which mean that you have to have a certain number of subscribers before you are allowed to monetise your videos. Although i am not affected by this, we know that everyone has to start somewhere, and we want to support those YouTubers who are affected by this. SO – this is a MEGA hop, and what’s more, there are PRIZES AT EVERY STOP ALONG THE WAY!

There are a lot of stops on this hop, and a prize winner will be picked from EVERY STOP, thanks to the wonderful sponsors above. AND in addition to a variety of crafty goodies, at every stop there is a chance to win a $25 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp, and also 2 Catherine Pooler Inks! So generous!

At this stop, you can win Heffy Doodle Stamp & Die, a $25 Simon Says Stamp AND 2 Catherine Pooler Inks! To be in with a chance to win, on YouTube, you must LIKE the video, leave a comment and Subscribe to the Youtube channel

So you should have come from the wonderful Karen Day H. Scroll below to see who is next on the list, but first…. my project for this hop.

I have made this card using the Heffy Doodle Clover frames dies and Heffy Doodle’s Honey Bunny Boo stamps and dies. The Easter diecut is also from Heffy Doodle- I layered four diecuts together to give a chipboard look.

The sequins that i have used are from Lucy’s shop and are a collection called Cottage Garden. I love the pastel colours in this set. Can you see that little bunny on the right? Look how the die cuts around his paw so you can tuck elements into his hands! CUTE!

There is also a little die in the Honey bunny Boo die set that cuts out the little turf of grass. It’s perfect for tucking in elements like the Easter eggs, or the little bunny’s butt! 🙂

For more dimension, I put some of my stamped images on the inside of the shaker, and some on the outside.

Go ahead and watch the video to see the full instructions on how I made this card. The next person on this hop is…

JENN SHARKUS

Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe in YouTube, and you could be one of the lucky winners of over 120 prizes! Now that’s what i call a MEGA GIVEAWAY!

Hello everyone,

It’s blog hop time! Woohoo! I am so excited to be part of this hop with so many talented individuals! I was so excited that I have made two Heffy Doodle cards for this hop!

First of all, a clean and simple card using the Whatcha Saying stamps and Dies. I used the clover frames dies to die cut the perfect A2 stitched rectangular panel for the front of my card, and then i used the Whatcha Saying dies to create speech bubble apertures on a panel of cardstock. I wanted it to kinda look like a conversation via text message.

I then picked out three coordinating colours of cardstock and stuck these underneath, and then stamped the sentiments from the Whatcha Saying stamp set. To finish the card, I delved into Crystal’s collection of nuvo drops. I think I need all these colours in my life!

Next up, another simple, but effective card that really showcases the Heffy Doodle Stitched Strips of Ease. I stamped, copic coloured and die cut some cute images from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set, and also die cut the word Easter using the Easter Heffy Cuts die and some kraft cardstock.

I layered a white rectangular piece of card onto a kraft card base, leaving a 1/8″ border around the edge. Next I used the awesome stitched strips of ease dies to die cut three strips of patterned paper. I chose a few pretty springtime colours that I thought would work great with the Easter theme. On one of the strips I stamped the word Hoppy from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set, and then finished off the card by add the stamped images. I love how the bunny’s paw can overlap the strips of cardstock! So sweet!

Don’t forget to leave a comment on every stop along the way so you can be in with a chance to win crafty prizes!

Hey there crafty friends,

Tonight on my Come Craft With Me YouTube LIVE session, I had so much fun playing with the new February release from Heffy Doodle. I have been itching to get playing with these for SO LONG!

I managed three cards in the LIVE show, first up this sweet card.

I actually found the background in my stash (i made it during a previous CCWM live sesh) – it was made with the Honey Bee Stamps hexagon stipple plate background die, and some yellow watercolour paint which i drizzled down the card front. Once dry, I lavished on some glossy accents. Tonight I stamped the bear and honey pot from the Heffy Doodle Unbearable Without You stamp set and coloured him in with Copics.

The HELLO is from the new Heffy Doodle Honey Bunny Boo stamp set, and the die cut is the new Heffy Doodle Honey Heffy Cuts. I layered four die cuts together to get a dimensional look.

Next up, I was channeling my 8 year old self as I set out to do some WEAVING!

I die cut a bunch of kraft cardstock using the Heffy Doodle Stitched Strips of Ease dies and then started to weave these together. I die cut it into an oval shape and layered onto a cute scalloped oval. I stamped the bunnies and eggs from the new Heffy Doodle Honey Bunny Boo stamp and die set, and the basket is from the Exclusive not-yet-released stamp set called Mewniverse. You can still get it by spending more than £35 in the Heffy Doodle store (before shipping).

I coloured the images in using my Zig clean color real brush markers (although I think i need more practice!). The sentiment is also from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set and i cut him out easily with the Strips of Ease dies from Heffy Doodle.

This one was a labour of love, but i actually ADORE how it turned out. I took some watercolour cardstock and die cut the new Heffy Cuts HEY die all over it. Then I stuck all the parts together onto a card front – just like a jigsaw! I found a piece of red card that had been inked up with some Distress oxide ink and some clear embossing paste had been added over the top of a stencil -and i thought the intense pop of red would be amazing against the white backgound, so i used a heart die to cut out a shape.

I stamped some images from the Heffy Doodle Beary Big Heart stamp set and dies. I coloured in the images with watercolour paints and added a sparkle to the card heart using some spectrum noir brush pens. I laid down some crochet aida behind the heart, added some nuvo drops and also added a sentiment using the Heffy Doodle Whatcha Saying stamp and die set.

You can watch the video of the live stream here, or come on over to YouTube. Don’t forget to subscribe so you can be notified when i do LIVE crafty streams.

Happy Crafting!
