Today I am sharing not one but TEN cards! I can’t help myself, the kit is so full of awesomeness I decided to use it in my weekly ‘Come Craft With Me’ show. If you are new here – let me take a moment to explain- every Friday evening at 9pm BST, I open the virtual doors to my craft room and invite everyone to ‘Come Craft With Me’. Simply join me and the gang over at http://youtube.com/hungryheffy – where I get crafty, share tips, and have lots of fun interacting with all our viewers!

The video above is the real time video of me creating these 10 cards – and its fun to watch my creative process and the way i change my mind every now and again! But best grab your slippers and a glass of wine beforehand – its a long one! Best watched in the background when you’re getting craft I think!

Let’s take a closer look at these cards, but don’t forget the link to the next stop is mentioned at the bottom of this post!

First up I used the sequin cord to create this shiny, textured backdrop behind a star aperture. Finished with a heat embossed sentiment from the awesome stamp set in the kit.

For this one I die cut the burlap into a heart shape- i love the texture that it gives this card!

This one nearly killed me! LOL. If you watch the video you will see for yourself. It almost had a brush lettered handwritten message on the top, but something stopped me from committing to it. Finally, I realised what was missing – those super shiny mirror mosaics!

This one was a big hit on the LIVE stream  – its hard to see but behind the vellum is some black cardstock with white heat embossed fireworks! To add some colour I used my finger to add some distress oxides ink on top, and then made it into a shaker card using the vellum! I added the die cut HAPPY from my stash.

SO simple, yet so pretty. This mirror foiled vellum is gorgeous. Just a little die cut on top and… bobs your uncle!

Three die cut circles, three pieces of patterned vellum, and some of that fun fireworks paper really made this card come together. For some extra dimension that golden ricrac did the trick!

For this next card I stamped the bunting image and tried to use my chameleon pen! It took a little getting used to, but it sure is a lot of fun! I added a pre-coloured image from my stash to round off this card!

I wanted to think outside the box at this stage, so I used the bunting die to cut out triangles onto some scratch card – which I then used as a stencil. Once again I grabbed a few bits and bobs from my stash to quickly finish this off – but I love that background!

For this one I cracked out the outline stickers -and once again I wanted to show how you can think outside the box with these. I stuck them onto some watercolour cardstock in a haphazard fashion, then watercoloured over the top. I chose to do a loose ombre effect so it created more interest on the card!

And number 10! I found a piece of watercoloured paper in my scraps with this galaxy background, and I thought it would be just perfect for this final card. I couldn’t help but finish this off with a Hooray die cut (from Honey Bee Stamps).

I made it! I hope you didn’t get swept up in all the photos on this stop! 🙂

And for more inspiration, be sure to head over to the next stop, who is the amazing Alicia!!

Don’t forget to leave a comment on every stop before 25th June – and that way you could be the lucky winner of a £20 voucher to the Love From Lizi store!

Thanks for stopping by, and i hope to see you all this Friday for my LIVE YouTube crafting stream!

Happy Crafting!

Hello crafty friends

I am back tomorrow for another YouTube LIVE crafting session – and this week I will be playing with the Love From Lizi kit.

Love From Lizi is an online shop that specialises in kits. This is great if you find that you spend lots of time pulling out products that match, which then eats into your crafty time. With a kit, I love the way that the coordinating part is all done for you.

Lizi kindly sent me a kit, and I thought it would be fun to use it for my CCWM LIVE craft show. Lizi and her crew do some AWESOME 10 cards from 1 Kit videos over on YouTube – and I thought I would give it a go.

So this week will be a bit different – let’s consider it to be a little bit of ‘speed crafting’. Instead of building a design from scratch, I will be having fun using the products in the kit – although I am sure I will have to grab the distress inks at some point 🙂

Hope to see you there. All you need to do is head over to http://youtube.com/hungryheffy and at 9pm BST, I will be there!

so come on…come craft with me!
