Come Craft With Me

Hey guys,

Thank you to everyone who joined me for tonights CCWM LIVE stream. I started a little early today because we had friends over to play some boardgames. I’m super pleased that i managed to get this SUPER SPECIAL card done – as it is for our daughter Piper who turns 7 this week. Let’s take a look!

So in case you aren’t familiar with my LIVE streams, lets recap. On a Friday night, at 9pm GMT, i turn on my camera and get crafty. I would love you to join in! It’s so wonderful interacting with everyone and answering questions as I go. I also love it when the viewers help me make decisions along the way.

Sometimes, like this Friday 16th march, normal service is slightly interrupted. It’s Piper’s Birthday so I will be supervising FOUR seven year old girls for their first big sleepover! AIE! But when this happens, I try to do another stream mid week – so hit that notification button over on my YouTube Channel —-> Hungry Heffy You Tube channel! That way you will be told when I do a surprise sesh! 🙂

If you want to watch the full unedited version, scroll below, but please note – it is in real time.

Let’s get this party started! First, I added some inked areas on my card using three distress ink colours – Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick and Shaded Lilac, then spritzed with some water droplets.

The stamps are from mama elephant – the party animals set. I love these guys! So cute! I went for some more pastel colours with my copics.

For these, i blended everything out to white – this helps keep everything looking nice and light. When I knew where i wanted my critters to go, I picked my sentiment. I stamped it using my MISTI and used Rangers Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

For the speech bubble i used Heffy Doodle’s Whatcha Saying stamp and set with Lawn Fawns minty fresh ink. It matches the cracked pistachio colour up top. I added some extra stamped images to the background using Lawn Fawn holiday party animal set (for the music notes) and then the Lawn Fawn party animal set. Ohh its a veritable party over here!

On the inside, I wanted to add Piper’s name. It’s an unusual name over here so she never finds anything with her name on it. I used the Heffy Doodle Jet Alphabetters to stamp the letters, then added drops with my copic markers.

I thought i would add a little chickie on the inside with a balloon, and dug out some glitter stickers to add the number 7 to it. super cute huh!?

If you want to watch the full unedited video – see below, and i hope you will join me for a Come Craft With Me LIVE craft stream in the future!

See you then! Happy Crafting!

Hey guys,

Three cards made tonight on my CCWM Live Stream. Feel free to watch the stream on replay at the bottom of this post. Here’s a few piccies of my cards!

First off, I used my ecoline liquid watercolours to colour in this cute stamp by Pink & Main. I love my tea, so this little stamp was a perfect addition to my stash.

I used my distress ink to create a beautifully blended background, and splattered it with both the distress ink and some white ink. I used a rounded rectangle and some MFT little letters dies to die cut the panel, before stamping the sentiment underneath.

Next stop is a card that is a little different from my usual style. I wanted to use the flower dies that i got from Cheery Lynn designs. I also used the Heffy Doodle stamps ‘hey’ and ‘honey’ dies along with the Stitched Strips of Ease dies. For the black ‘there’ I used the MFT bottlecap letters dies to die cut foam.

Someone watching the stream suggested that I add some ink splatters, and I love how it turned out. So sweet!

Next up a sweet card where I used the lawn fawn cloud dies to create a tree canopy. I added some kraft cardstock and embossed it with a woodgrain embossing folder.

I stamped the owl from MFT Forest Friends, and added the nest from the Heffy Doodle Eggcellent News set, and added a little sentiment using the Whatcha Saying stamps and dies. To bring the colour scheme together, i used my copic markers to add some yellow tones to the speech bubble.

I love the way the nest die cuts an internal cut line so you can tuck the elements into the nest. Super cute!

okay…. here’s the video of the live stream… enjoy!

Hey there crafty friends,

Tonight on my Come Craft With Me YouTube LIVE session, I had so much fun playing with the new February release from Heffy Doodle. I have been itching to get playing with these for SO LONG!

I managed three cards in the LIVE show, first up this sweet card.

I actually found the background in my stash (i made it during a previous CCWM live sesh) – it was made with the Honey Bee Stamps hexagon stipple plate background die, and some yellow watercolour paint which i drizzled down the card front. Once dry, I lavished on some glossy accents. Tonight I stamped the bear and honey pot from the Heffy Doodle Unbearable Without You stamp set and coloured him in with Copics.

The HELLO is from the new Heffy Doodle Honey Bunny Boo stamp set, and the die cut is the new Heffy Doodle Honey Heffy Cuts. I layered four die cuts together to get a dimensional look.

Next up, I was channeling my 8 year old self as I set out to do some WEAVING!

I die cut a bunch of kraft cardstock using the Heffy Doodle Stitched Strips of Ease dies and then started to weave these together. I die cut it into an oval shape and layered onto a cute scalloped oval. I stamped the bunnies and eggs from the new Heffy Doodle Honey Bunny Boo stamp and die set, and the basket is from the Exclusive not-yet-released stamp set called Mewniverse. You can still get it by spending more than £35 in the Heffy Doodle store (before shipping).

I coloured the images in using my Zig clean color real brush markers (although I think i need more practice!). The sentiment is also from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set and i cut him out easily with the Strips of Ease dies from Heffy Doodle.

This one was a labour of love, but i actually ADORE how it turned out. I took some watercolour cardstock and die cut the new Heffy Cuts HEY die all over it. Then I stuck all the parts together onto a card front – just like a jigsaw! I found a piece of red card that had been inked up with some Distress oxide ink and some clear embossing paste had been added over the top of a stencil -and i thought the intense pop of red would be amazing against the white backgound, so i used a heart die to cut out a shape.

I stamped some images from the Heffy Doodle Beary Big Heart stamp set and dies. I coloured in the images with watercolour paints and added a sparkle to the card heart using some spectrum noir brush pens. I laid down some crochet aida behind the heart, added some nuvo drops and also added a sentiment using the Heffy Doodle Whatcha Saying stamp and die set.

You can watch the video of the live stream here, or come on over to YouTube. Don’t forget to subscribe so you can be notified when i do LIVE crafty streams.

Happy Crafting!
