Here’s the stream from last weeks Come Craft With Me LIVE crafty stream. This stream was a little bit different, as I took the advantage of this crafty time to prep some projects for my upcoming appearance on Create & Craft TV. EEK so exciting!
I am so delighted that I was asked to be a guest demonstrator for USA stamp company My Sentiments Exactly. MSE is an USA based stamp company that has been around for 20 years – in fact, I remember coming across them as I was packing shelves of the craft store that I used to work in (back in the day! ) 😀
As well as giving you a peek at the range of MSE stamps that are available via Create & Craft TV, I also made a fun card using the Mama Elephant Yeti stamps.
This card is a ‘congratulations you’re pregnant’ card – I thought that one of the yeti’s looked like she was holding her tummy- a classic mumma-to-be stance! And I laid them together so it looks like they are hugging a little. So cute! On the inside I added a greeting suggested by one of the viewers – ‘ get YETI for baby!’. i LOVE IT!
Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to tune in to Create & Craft TV on Monday 13th November for my big screen debut at 9am and 5pm! WOO!
Hey guys! Its been a busy old week – because we are celebrating release week at Heffy Doodle HQ. We are so excited by the great response, and the wonderful comments that we have received about this release. In last week’s live stream I did give you guys some sneak peeks, but this week I was dying to get playing with some of the other stamp sets that I hadn’t really used much.
In case you are new to Come Craft With Me – scroll down to the end of this post for more details. Let’s look at the projects up close!
Products used listed below, with affiliate links.
First up, a cute card using the Heffy Doodle Geology Rocks stamp set. I decided to use my watercolours to colour the volcano today so i used some watercolour cardstock for the most of this card. I created the front panel using the Mama Elephant All Prettied Up dies. I added some inked clouds to the backdrop using Tumbled Glass distress inks and the cloud die.
I wanted to showcase two fun elements in the Heffy Doodle Geology Rocks set – firstly the stitched swirly lines that you can use to emboss steam rising from the volcano. I love the way this works. You could use it behind a car or as a snow flurry, or in many different ways.
I also wanted to show how you can stamp the face image, die cut it, and then stick onto your projects. I love to give cute faces to ALL THE THINGS!
I inked my front panel and added a sentiment which is also from the Geology Rocks stamp set.
Next up – a fun card using the Beary Big Heart and Jet Alphabetters. Okay…this is a pretty specific card, but wouldn’t it be the cutest little thing to receive – such a great keepsake!
I used a speech bubble die to create a mask then inked below it using some dye inks. I used the Jet Alphabetters to create the custom sentiment, and then stamped and coloured my bear and ring from the Beary Big Heart set.
The bear I coloured using my copics, and I added a little shadow underneath him to help make him look like he was grounded. For the ring, I used my embossing pen to add clear ink to the band and then embossed it using Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I love how it looks golden!
For the diamond, I used my sakura clear glitter pen and then carefully added some glossy accents on top. I had to leave it aside after that, because I have a habit of putting my finger in the glossy accents before it’s dry. 😀
This next one is an encouragement card. Coming from Northern Ireland, I am very familiar with rainy days – but what a sweet way to brighten up someone’s day than with a smiling umbrella. For this card I cut out a skinny panel, added some stitched edges, inked it with some Distress Oxides, then used a stencil to add rain drops. The stencil I made myself using my silhouette cameo.
The sentiment is a mix-and-match, the Be Happy is from the Beary Big Heart set, and the Sending Warm Hugs is from the Heffy Doodle Warm Hugs stamp set. I added some lovely nuvo drops to the project (Thanks Maria for the surprise crafty gift – i love my nuvo drops!).
Remember the eyes I stuck onto the volcano? Well, in the Geology Rocks die set, there is also another die where you can die cut little eyes and a mouth into things! This time i die cut the face into the brolly – in the end I actually stamped the eyes on a separate piece of card and layered this below, but its not necessary. I just think it looks sweet!

UPDATED
Hey gang – sneaking back into this blog post to add some more photos! This card was made using some Distress Oxide Ink, and the Warm Hugs and Elfish Antic images.
I also added a sentiment from the Elfing Christmas Words stamp set.
I showed how you can add the water ripple image, and use the coordinating die to cut a curvy slit into the image. I decided to tuck in a candy cane from the Elfish Antics set.
I love adding some poofiness with the marvy snow marker. It’s lots of fun!
For this card I used my twinkling H2Os to colour in the gem images from Heffy Doodle Geology Rocks. I love the sparkle it gives them.
I decided to go for a shaker card this time, so used some diamond shaky bits from both Honey Bee Stamps and Studio Katia. The Under Pressure sentiment was the perfect addition.
On the inside, I added some more of the sentiments that come with this Geology Rocks set, and I also added the diamond stamp – covered it in glitter! SHINY!
For this next card – I used Beary Big Heart. I used the heart border die from Lawn Fawn to create this background panel and then used my distress inks to create the rainbow effect behind it.
The bear looks pretty happy to be outside during his rainbow shower! 😀 He was coloured using copic markers.
I decided to use sentiments from this set to add a greeting. I love that this set has girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband and Fiance(e) greetings. They are going to be so handy!
Thanks again for stopping by, and i hope you will join me for another Come Craft With Me LIVE stream this Friday at 9pm GMT.
