Hello everyone,

It’s a special day today, because us Chibitronics gang are teaming up with the amazingly talented individuals over at MFT Stamps for a super awesome COLLABORATION!

Over the course of today and tomorrow (15th & 16th Feb), please head over to the chibitronics and MFT stamps blogs to start the hop and see all the inspiration.

If you hop along, please remember to leave a like and a comment – and then you can be in with a chance to win a Chibitronics starter kit or a $50 voucher to the MFT stamps store! What are you waiting for!?

So let’s talk about my project. If you are familiar with my work, you will probably know that I louuuurve an interactive card. BUT sometimes I get these crazy ideas in my head and I want to push it to the LIMIT! I get totally overexcited, and I have a mindset of ‘MAKE IT WORK!’.

A few months ago, I made a slider pop up card, and I thought it would be awesome if I could find a way to incorporate the slider element into a Chibitronics circuit. And this was the perfect occasion to try.

Scroll down to watch the video tutorial on how I made this card, which features the Blueprint sketch 28 dies, Otterly love you stamps and the Bitty Bears stamps, all from MFT stamps. I also used a small ‘Pull Here’ stamp from Heffy Doodle Stamps’ Interactively Yours stamp set.

At first glance, this card looks clean and simple – what a cute little otter, huh? The background I made using Distress Oxide inks and I spritzed a stencil with some water (with a little perfect pearls powder mixed in), then laid my inked background on top. This results in this beautiful transference of the stencil design. At the top, can you see the little ‘pull here’ sentiment?

When you slide up the card, it reveals BIG SURPRISES! Not only do you see the ‘You have my heart’ sentiment on the pull tab (from the Bitty Bears stamp set), and of course you get to see the ‘I’m otterly in love with you’ sentiment on the revealed section…. but the little otter has popped up AND the heart in his hands is GLOWING PINK!

Like I said, the circuit is indeed one of the more advanced circuits – but it just goes to prove that there are lots of possibilities with these fun little light stickers. Don’t let it scare you though, there’s loads of amazing projects using a simple circuit. Search my blog for Chibitronics to find more if you want to take a look.

Here’s a little peak from the side. I am in love with this guy. My daughter Piper (6yo) has been playing with him all day!

Don’t forget to watch the video to see how it was made, and to be in with chances to win a prize, leave a comment below.

Here are the links that take you to the other blogs in this hop for today. There are more fantastic projects on the line up for tomorrow, 16th Feb.

Hello everyone,

It’s blog hop time! Woohoo! I am so excited to be part of this hop with so many talented individuals! I was so excited that I have made two Heffy Doodle cards for this hop!

First of all, a clean and simple card using the Whatcha Saying stamps and Dies. I used the clover frames dies to die cut the perfect A2 stitched rectangular panel for the front of my card, and then i used the Whatcha Saying dies to create speech bubble apertures on a panel of cardstock. I wanted it to kinda look like a conversation via text message.

I then picked out three coordinating colours of cardstock and stuck these underneath, and then stamped the sentiments from the Whatcha Saying stamp set. To finish the card, I delved into Crystal’s collection of nuvo drops. I think I need all these colours in my life!

Next up, another simple, but effective card that really showcases the Heffy Doodle Stitched Strips of Ease. I stamped, copic coloured and die cut some cute images from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set, and also die cut the word Easter using the Easter Heffy Cuts die and some kraft cardstock.

I layered a white rectangular piece of card onto a kraft card base, leaving a 1/8″ border around the edge. Next I used the awesome stitched strips of ease dies to die cut three strips of patterned paper. I chose a few pretty springtime colours that I thought would work great with the Easter theme. On one of the strips I stamped the word Hoppy from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set, and then finished off the card by add the stamped images. I love how the bunny’s paw can overlap the strips of cardstock! So sweet!

Don’t forget to leave a comment on every stop along the way so you can be in with a chance to win crafty prizes!

Hello everyone,

I am so excited that the Chibitronics team were asked to join in the fun over at Tracy McNeely‘s blog this month! Tracy has a feature called 25 Days of Christmas Tags, and it is packed to the rafters with lots of inspiration! You should head on over to check out all the amazing tags that have been featured there so far this month!

Here is my project for this fun collab – a light up tag featuring the Heffy Doodle Warm Hugs stamps and dies.

I have even made a video of how I made today’s project – so whether Chibitronics is new to you, or if you have used them before, you will get to see me in action and hopefully find a little inspiration.

The cute people are all from the new Heffy Doodle Warm Hugs set and the Squeeze Here is from the Heffy Doodle Interactively Yours stamp set. This is a MUST if you like interactive cards. These are available at HeffyDoodle.com and also many retailers across the globe. I link below to SSS but you can see a full list of retail partners here.

Of course, the magic happens when the card is lit up. Let’s take a look!

The blue LEDs are so COOL! They are the perfect option for creating a chilly, wintery look!

Please come on over to the Chibitronics blog to see more projects made by the team, and there is also some details on how you can win a Chibitronics starter kit. Check it out!

Happy Crafting everyone!

Lesley
