Happy Sunday my crafty friends!

I am up on the Heffy Doodle blog today with this fun croc card using the Happy Snappy Crocs ste from Heffy Doodle. I love how happy this lil guy looks – and I think he is one of the most popular images in the whole collection.

There is a video that walks through how the whole card was made, but lets give you guys the run down anyway. I started by stamping some of the smaller images onto some Lawn Fawn mermaid teal cardstock using a dark teal ink pad from Simon Says Stamp. Next I used a large stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn to cut out an A2 panel.

I used a square die to cut a square shape out of some white cardstock and then used my trimmer to cut it into a polaroid picture frame shape. I repeated this process with grey cardstock so I could create a shadow effect.

The croc I stamped and coloured with some light coloured copic markers and I used the coordinating dies to cut him out, and then layered some vellum behind my frame. For some extra fun I cut the vellum with some cloud dies and layered them up. I added a white heat embossed greeting and also heat embossed the camera flash image onto the background – i love how it pops!

To finish the card, I added some paperclips and a strip of washi tape and then stuck mister croc onto the card using some foam tape. I also added a camera in his hand, and a few hearts to finish off the design!

Thanks so much for stopping by. To place your order for Heffy Doodle products, be sure to do so before 31 July when the Kickstarter will close for preorders.

Oh, and in case you didn’t  catch the latest blog post over on the Heffy Doodle blog – the winner of the blog hop has been announced.

I have actually got two projects today – because after I made the card, I had a few scraps on my table that I simply couldn’t waste – so I made a matching pillow box to coordinate with this fun card! The full instructions are available in the video at the bottom of this post.

I am using two stamp sets from Heffy Doodle – first the Unbearable Without You set which has lots of fun crafty images. I white heat embossed the images onto my background and then created an ombre effect using my distress inks. I also added the SPIN ME message from the Interactively Yours stamp set – these images are so fun for interactive cards!

Did you know that you can stamp different expressions onto this cute bear? So on one side of the spinner is a sweet, concerned looking bear, and on the other side is a happy chappie with a paint brush tucked into his paws! I love tucking things into his paws – it makes this set so versatile!

The front of the card says I MISS YOU, and on the inside I have used some of the other sentiments that are included in this stamp set. I have decided to make it say ”I miss you.. so much that I can BEARLY craft!”. 🙂 teeehee!

When I had this card all finished, there was a left over piece of card with all the crafty supplies embossed onto it – and there was also some pink cardstock on my table – so I grabbed a pillow box die and some craft foam and decided to also make a coordinating box with a shaker panel on the front! I think this pillow box would be perfect for holding a small gift!

I used the same sequins (from Honey Bee Stamps) and the same colour scheme to make sure both projects matched nicely – but for the image I used a different bear that is in the Unbearable Without You set from Heffy Doodle.

I also added two of the smaller images from the Interactively Yours stamp set – one that says ‘SHAKE ME’ and one that says ‘I have a surprise inside!’ – aren’t they sweet?!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and next up is the wonderful

Hey crafty friends,

I have set up my event for this Friday’s Come Craft With Me LIVE stream, and realised that I never did share last week’s CCWM project on my blog! What a silly sausage I am!

I had such a blast on last weeks show – firstly – our audio worked a dream! YIPPPPEEEEE!! WOOOHOOO! I cannot tell you how happy that made me (and Craig, even more so!). Also last week was the first CCWM since we launched Heffy Doodle stamps! And after a fantastic start to our kickstarter campaign, I was kinda on cloud nine!

When I was designing these stamps I really wanted to bring you guys a new stamp brand that you (AND I) could use alongside some of our other favourite brands. So in this CCWM show, I used both Heffy Doodle and Lawn Fawn products to demonstrate how beautiful they go together.

We had a little vote – should these critters be picnic-ing at the beach or in the forest? This week Craig did some magic and made the comments appear on the playback screen, which means that everyone who doesn’t get a chance to watch it live will still be able to keep track of the conversation and interactions! Hope you like that new feature – we’ve had great feedback so far!

And as you can guess  – the beach won!

For this card, I used the simple stitched border dies, the stitched cloud backdrop & the ocean hillside pop up die (all from Lawn Fawn) to create this beach scene. I added some distress ink to create the beach.

I used the Blah Bunny dies from Honey Bee Stamps to create my own plaid picnic blanket. I am so thrilled with how this turned out! Super cute!

I used a selection of stamps from my stash to create the dashed, dotted and solid lines.

I added a croc and a bear from Heffy Doodle stamps, along with some accessories such as the cake, the wine glass and wine bottle, and for the beach accessories I used some Lawn Fawn stamps in my stash.

I used Critters of the sea as well as Life is Good from Lawn Fawn – and I love how these stamps work so well with one another.

I struggled for a while in regards to a greeting – but it all paid off in the end! I love this message  – it is from a super old stamp set called Everyday sayings from Hero Arts. oh… and the sun is from the Sunday Strolls set from Mama Elephant. I am glad i added it in the end!

If you missed the LIVE stream, don’t worry – you can watch the video playback above. It is fun to put on in the background when you get crafty!

There is another Come Craft With Me coming up this week. Every Friday, at 9 pm BST / 4 pm EST, you can find me over at the Hungry Heffy YouTube channel.

Here is a sneaky peek of this weeks card – it will be a teacher thank you card, and once again I am mixing and matching different stamp brands together to create an extra fun card! Click the photo to go to the event  and you can then tell YouTube if you want to be notified when the show goes live. <3

Sending big crafty hugs

xx
