Crafting Links

Hello there,

I thought it was about time that i shared a ‘normal’ video tutorial with you guys! HAHA! If you are subscribed to my YouTube channel, you will have noticed a change over the last few months where I have been releasing less of the shorter 8-10 minute videos, and my content has been mostly the LIVE crafting sessions. (Which are super fun and you should definitely join in – Fridays at 9pm BST)

But today I have a shorter video which I hope you will all enjoy – one which you may have seen over on the Heffy Doodle Kickstarter page – and in the reveal videos too.

For this card I am showcasing the Elephant Of Surprise stamp set from Heffy Doodle, and I am also using a small image from the Interactively Yours stamp set – also from Heffy Doodle.

I start by stamping my cardstock to create a striped background using some Simon Says Stamp fog ink, and then die cut some circles using a SSS circle die. I grabbed some pattern paper, vellum and acetate before stamping and embossing the greeting onto the vellum – which would be inside the shaker window.

I also stick two dies together using some washi tape so I can cut out a frame as well as two pieces of craft foam which have had Stick-It adhesive adhered to both sides – this allows me to build up my shaker panel on the front of the card. I used some sequins from Lucy’s Cards – as I ADORE her sequin mixes so much!

The images I stamped using my MISTI and coloured with copic markers. I kept the colouring pretty simple, as I like the cutesy cartoon look that they give. I decided to add the sad little elephant on the front and then surround him with some of the cool accessories in the set.

For the inside of the card, I used the circle that was left over when I die cut my shaker frame – I thought it would be fun to add this to the inside. I also wanted to have an ACTUAL surprise on the inside – and I thought one of those action-wobblers would be perfect….unfortunately, I didn’t have any….

…But I am not the kinda girl that lets THAT stand in the way – so I show you in the video how I made my own easy-peasy action wobbler device! OH YEAH!

In case you were wondering, the blue embossing powder is from Cosmic Shimmer – and OH BOY does it shimmer! It has such a gorgeous pearly sheen – its just amazing!

Thank you guys so much for joining me today – please do leave a comment if you get a chance.

If you haven’t already, and are considering buying some Heffy Doodle stamps – head on over to the Kickstarter page which is currently the only place that you can get these products right now. PLUS you get a reduced price and there also lots of savings in the bundle packages.

AND.. before you go, I am participating in a HEFFY DOODLE blog hop on Saturday 15th July – so mark your calendars because it is going to be awesome! And of course there will be a prize to celebrate the hop! See you then!

Happy Crafting!

Hello crafty friends!

Welcome to our fifth and final day of reveals. WOOHOO! This whole week has been an absolute blast – we have had lots of sweet comments and emails of support. You guys are the BEST! …and I ain’t LION! 😀 TeeHee!

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself – because today we are unveiling the last stamp and die set in our range…

AD-ROAR-ABLE LIONS

Just like the other sets in our animal collection, Ad-roar-able Lions contains three sweet animal images in different poses – and this time we have introduced a lioness as well as the MANE lion design. 😀 We thought that they would make a super cute couple! Don’t you agree!?

Just like the other Heffy Doodle range, we have a mixture of sentiments which you can use to build your greetings – and they are jam packed with puns to make you smile!  They work grrrrreat with the other sets too!

Along with the lions and sentiments are a whole host of accessories! There is a versatile little balloon and two different shapes of balloon strings. You can use the balloon die to create your own mask and then build up a fun colourful background – just like we have done in the card above Or you can create a cluster of balloons by stamping as many balloon images as you like!

These little guys sure do have a sweet tooth, as there are lots of sugary stamps to accompany these furry felines – sweeties, a pretzel, a lolly pop – even Boba tea! There is also a little ‘sprinkles’ image that can be stamped onto the ice cream cone, the ice cream sundae AND the ice lolly!

Of course all the food and drink stamps across the range are made to match, so you can build up a banquet for your Heffy Doodle animal friends.

So there we have it  – the full collection is now revealed and we are counting down the minutes until the Kickstarter a goes live tomorrow when it starts at 12 noon BST (Monday 3rd July). If you haven’t already – please do sign up to the newsletter so you can be notified when we go live.

Now that we have revealed the full collection, let’s take another look at all the stamp sets altogether.

We hope you have enjoyed the big reveals this week – we certainly have!  Be sure to check out the other reveal videos if you haven’t seen them yet – as they give you a closer look at the stamp sets and also talk a little more about the high quality and awesome versatility that you get when you choose Heffy Doodle.

We will see you tomorrow for the big Kickstarter launch, and we would love it if you would tell all your crafty friends about Heffy Doodle. You can follow us via all the usual routes –

Happy Saturday! And what a happy day we have today – because it is day FOUR of the Heffy Doodle reveals! With only 48 hours before the Kickstarter goes live, we can BEARLY contain our excitement! 😀

Speaking of bears…. it’s finally time to unveil the next stamp set with coordinating dies. Without further ado, say hello to …

UNBEARABLE WITHOUT YOU

We know that many of you have been waiting patiently to see the full reveal of this one – after all it has the whole package – lots of sentiments, cute bears and CRAFT SUPPLIES!

We all know that crafty friends are the best friends, 🙂 and who wouldn’t love to get a card with this cute bear and his stash – we have scissors, a paintbrush, a pencil and even a double-ended marker pen (which could double up as a magic wand perhaps!). There’s also a sweet little pot of stationary – because this bear loves keeping his supplies close to hand!

Of course we also have the coordinating metal cutting dies – and in this set we have TWO bears that have internal cut lines – so you can tuck lots of images into the paws of your favourite furry friend! Here’s a closer look! I love the way it cuts along the stamped line, so if you don’t want to tuck anything into his paws, then it isn’t obvious that there is a cut line there at all!

Of course we had to add some food to the stamp set – Heffy Doodle critters always enjoy their food!! There’s a pizza slice and a burger for all those bears that enjoy their fast food, and also some sweet treats such as the cookies and a jar of honey. We have made two separate labels for the jar so you can label it up as a honey pot, or use it as a jar of snacks! We love giving you guys versatility!

Also in the set are some thought bubbles images which are so super fun – you could put a sentiment in there or even create a critter that is dreaming of all those yummy treats! In this card above we used the dies to cut out masks before using watercolour paints to create this galaxy effect background! Neat, huh?

And look, there’s something even extra special about this stamp set….

Just to the right of the pizza there are three small image which are all alternative mouths for this cute little dude. You can create three different looks quickly and easily – now that’s what I call getting value for money! 😀

Tomorrow is our last big reveal before the BIG DAY on Monday when the Kickstarter campaign goes live (3rd July). We will be launching at 12 noon BST that day, but you can always sign up here to be notified when it is alive-and-kicking!

We are so thankful for all the wonderful messages and the love that we have received so far. We even have had people ask when our NEXT release is going to be out! Isn’t that simply amazing! To answer the question- we don’t quite know yet, as it all depends on the success of the Kickstarter campaign. Thats why we love it when you follow us and share our posts to your crafty friends.
