Happy Sunday everyone. Sorry i’ve been absent for a while, my body is still trying to adjust to this new working mom lifestyle and as such i’ve been hitting the sack early feeling pretty exhausted. But time is a healer of all things, and with every passing day I am adjusting better and better-er!

So lets share some crafting! 🙂

It was mums birthday on a few weeks back, and one of the awesome things about being a mummy is that I get to make two cards for occasions such as these- one for mum, one for Nanny. Double the fun!

This card was inspired by a card posted on twitter which was made using a gorgeous grey tone, and as I was leafing through my 6×6 pack of SEI papers (6×6 Poppy paper stack) this pretty grey striped paper caught my eye. To make the grey panel, I rubbed some pumice stone distress ink straight onto card, and I also used the same ink pad when stamping. The letters are from the hero arts monogram clear stamps. I love this set – it’s so useful.

To add some colour I cut some flowers from pattern paper from the same SEI paper pad and embellished using Enamel Accents.

For the Nanny card I wanted brighter colours to add a more playful element. Here I took papers from the togetherness paper pad by cosmo cricket- I love that mustard yellow colour- it reminds me of my own Nannie who always added a little scoop of English mustard to the edge of her plate every Sunday.

Once again I’ve turned to the Trimcraft ‘relatives’ stamp set for the word Nanny- what a great set! And not expensive either!

And don’t worry, i didn’t forget (merely delayed)…the Scrapbook Magazine goes to LISA WILLIAMS. Congrats Lisa -send me your address.

Also, can I please take a moment to have a huge shout out to Heidi from Simon Says Stamps! Thank you sooooo much, you know the reason why! (its because she is awesome!) 🙂

Look what came in the post!
Yeay!!

I couldn’t wait for this one to come out. For this issue i made two layouts in the style of Art Deco. It was a challenge for me as I really didnt know much about Art Deco beforehand so i needed to do a litttttttle bit of research before i got to my crafting!

It was cool to see the other designers interpretations of the Art Deco style as well.

Here’s some sneaky peekies to entice you to go and buy a copy…and something else, keep reading
xx

oh and this layout, may or may not feature a very cute princess! I love this layout. xx

AND

I want to give away a copy of the magazine!!

Leave a comment and i’ll pick a winner by the end of the week.
