Thank you to everyone who participated in my Giveaway for February, when i was celebrating 1500 You Tube subscribers. Its time to announce the winner!
Watch the video to find out if you are the lucky winner! You will also see that the prize grew somewhat- keep on giving out those thumbs up, and watching the videos so i can bring you more giveaways.
If you are the winner, email me your address- you can reach me at ‘lez (at) hungryheffycrafts (dot) com’.
WOOHOOOOOO! Look at that! All of a sudden i noticed something – 1500 YouTube subscribers! Oh course, my first thought was ‘Uh? Wah? HUH?’ then i progressed onto “woohoo”! 🙂
Thank you guys so much! It means a lot to little old me – and so to celebrate…. it’s GIVEAWAY time!
I have a video to share today, which is all about me playing with gelatos on vellum to create a vellum aperture card, and i have hijacked the video for a minute to say thanks and talk about the giveaway. ( it was definitely a bit weird to have my face in front of the camera instead of just my hands!).
All you have to do is leave a comment on youtube or on this post, by 28 February 2015, and i will pick a winner. It’s open to everyone, regardless of your geographical location. What do you win? well, for starters the above stamp set by Paula Pascual called Big Sentiments – i have used it in my video here, and have used it MANY millions of times, because it is just so versatile. You will LOVE it! I imagine i will add some other bits and pieces from my stash too when the time comes.
So why not watch the video, leave a comment, and have a great day!
I have another video for you today – and its a shaker style valentines card. For this video, i used a technique with funky foam (also called fun foam or craft foam) to help build up the layering around the aperture, as the die i used was quite intricate. This is a technique that the awesome Jennifer Maguire used in this Inked Shaker Card video – check it out. It was a fun guest blog for Kristina Werner’s site. You should definitely pop on over to check out both of these crafty ladies.
I also have a tip for any UK crafters who are interested in shaker cards – i picked up 10 bottles of seed beads for £4 at a local Tiger store, and they come in the cutest little glass corked bottles! So Cute!
Here’s the video:
(did you notice the new intro and music! YEAY!) <3
If you are interested in making shaker cards, you should also check out the blog and YouTube Channel of Nichol Maguouirk, who is the shaker card queen!
The best tip for shaker cards that i picked up from Nichol, is to use the rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn to create the elements for your card. This makes the whole process so much easier, especially assembly. I have both the large stitched rectangles and small stitched rectangles – they are probably my must used dies! They are the best for creating framed shaker cards!
Thanks for joining me, and i have another video coming soon, this time using GELATOS! oooohhhh!
