Candy Cane pot

As a last minute decision, we have decided to have a Christmas party this weekend. In true crafter style, i want to decorate the house in time for the party so that it has a real Christmassy feel for all the guests. During a Christmas present shopping session we spied a box of cute little candy canes, and Craig’s sweet tooth ensured that they made their way into our shopping basket. I looked all around for a little pot for the candy canes, but in the end had to settle for a small plain drinking glass. Of course, this bugged me – it just wasn’t cute enough! So also in true crafter style, i threw together a little sleeve for the glass which added an element of both humour and colour. The tag was inspired by episode 77 of Paperclipping for Paperclipping members, where Noell uses these type of metal rim tags to make reusable gift tags for her Christmas presents.
