It’s been a long week indeed. On Saturday my alarm greeted me at 4.45am, and for once I woke up with a smile and jumped out of bed. I was ready within record time and was out through the door making my way to catch the 6.09am train to Birmingham, with a pocket full of pennies to spend on crafting goodies! That’s right, I was off to the NEC in Birmingham where the Hobbycrafts Expo was taking place.
After a long day of craft-spending, I returned home where my mum, sister, nephew and niece had just flown in from Northern Ireland for a visit. From Saturday to Tuedsay, we spent a lot of time shopping, visiting nearby towns, drinking coffee, eating rubbish, and catching up on family news. Although I think the highlight of the weekend was when we brought my 2 year old niece Abbi to a soft play area, and my sister and I spent more time on the slides and in the ball pens than Abbi did!
All in all it was a great weekend, but it meant that I haven’t been able to tell you all about my craft purchases until now.
So to make up for the fact that i’ve not been able to blog since Saturday, over the next few days I want to showcase what I believe to be the top five purchases of my trip to the NEC. Please feel free to leave a comment to let me know if you bought any of these items too, or indeed to share the items that were your top buys.
I’ll be posting the first item later today, so keep your eyes peeled!
