A Mini Book About ME!

As promised, I want to share with you one of my latest creations – a little book about me! A few months ago I fell in love with the ‘Documented’ line from Teresa Collins. My favourite paper was by far this ‘life documented’ page which has 12 different panels with a variety of different designs, which can be cut up and used as journaling cards, or look great as pages of a mini book – which is exactly what I did!

At first I deliberated over who I was going to feature as the subject of this cute little mini book – my mum perhaps… no, because my mum is one of those people who hates the camera, and so I only have a few limited photos of her that don’t have a hand between her and the camera. Perhaps my sister, or one of my nieces? Then I decided that I should do something which I rarely do when I’m scrapping- focus on me. Why not?

So here is the finished book, and it was really simple to make as I already had the basis of the book formed by simply cutting the page into 12 rectangles. I also managed to use up lots of bits and pieces of scraps from my leftover box.

I hope you like it, and feel inspired to make a mini book about yourself. Enjoy the photos.

Thanks for looking. Leave a comment for me here.

Oh this is simply stunning. I love what you have done and all the little touches… the folded over flowers, the birdy diecuts – could you tell me where you got them? I know what I love but never ever know the range names 😛

I’m not generally one for mini books (I don’t know what to do with them once I’ve finished) But I may have to borrow your idea here.

Thanks for the nice words about my mini book. I know exactly what you mean about never knowing what to do with them once they are complete, although i sometimes put them on the shelves in my living room and visitor can browse through them. Then every so often i mix it up and change them over for another one. The die cut birdies are from Bisous, which is a relatively new craft company in Canada – visit their site at http://www.bisous.biz. i love their stuff and it makes scrapbooking really quick and easy – i just cant get enough of their chipboard shapes!
      happy crafting,
