Miss You Monday – A New Weekly Feature!

You may or may not know that one of my best friends has had to go back to California because she is suffering from a condition called Hyperemesis Gravidarum. This is a condition women can get when they are pregnant when they are seriously nauseous to a dangerous degree. Poor Sarah had it with her first child, my darling godson Rand, but unfortunately it is even worse this time round. And as every girl knows, when you are sick all you need is your Mommy. So we have had to come to terms with the fact that we won’t see Sarah and Rand for another 5 months when she returns to the UK.

After their departure, there were of course a few tears and a spell of sadness for me. BUT I decided to stop fighting reality, and to start looking at the cup half full. After all, being somewhere where Sarah can get the help she needs was definitely the best thing to do.

So I made the decision to forget about distance and start thinking about the opportunities!

So let me announce a new feature here at Hungry Heffy Crafts called Miss You Monday. Every Monday I will showcase a card made for Sarah, so that she knows she’s not alone, even though she is far away from so many of her friends and family in the UK. Some will be miss you cards, love you cards or event specific, and others will be generic greetings cards suitable for any occasion.

So I hope you will join me every Monday for some card making inspiration. Lets kick off with the first one today.

How cute are those little birdies? They are from a sticker pack from Paperchase. I love the stickers they sell, as they are always guaranteed cuteness, and you get soooooo many on one sheet, all for £1.

Please come back to see the next card for Sarah next Monday, but don’t worry, i’ve got more to share before then.

Thanks for looking & please leave me a comment here.

Cuttlebug
