I made a marvellous discovery last weekend! …
Okay, I have to admit that when I rushed to tell Craig, he just didn’t get it, so I’m sure some of you guys will….
I’ve discovered that my sewing machine can create SCALLOPED stitching!!!! ♥ OH MY!!!
I can assure you, I was so excited I actually jumped up and down! Who would have thought it?! I bought my sewing machine about 8 years ago, and it was second / third / maybe even fourth-hand, but it has served me well. And despite its age it has never given me any bother, I just had to rewire the plug once. It came with a box full of plastic discs, and each one creates a different style of stitching, but for some reason I never really used them. I resurrected the box, and i have rekindled my love for my little geriatric sewing machine. {♥}
So of course I decided to incorporate this scalloped stitching into my Miss You Monday card this week. This cute and sassy gumball rubber stamp from Unity Stamps March 2010 KOTM just begged for bright colours and a bit of pizzazz!
I stamped the image with Archival ink and used pigment markers to colour it in. I also used pigment markers to stamp the greeting, using a mix of black and pink marker pens to make the word ‘sweet’ pop! The circle shape and bracket were cut using nestabilities and my ‘bug & the scrumptious pink paper is from DCWV glitter stack.
Good enough to eat! Leave me a comment here ♥
