32 weeks

Time for a pregnancy update, me thinks!

I am now 32 weeks. Well, actually, 32 weeks and 5 days. Can you believe it?! Geez!

After we hit the New Year, I became rather overwhelmed with the dreaded feeling of being so very, very under prepared for this baby, especially as people kept sharing stories of people they knew that had their babies at 32 weeks or 34 weeks….

BUT, I am glad to say that this feeling of panic soon passed, because things are progressing quickly…

We have started our antenatal classes, had a tour of the hospital, learnt all about different methods of pain relief and relaxation techniques.

I have read my book that I got for Christmas (Gina Ford: A Contented Baby) and even Craig is making his way through it now.

I have bought a few things for my hospital bag – including a new dressing gown and slippers – hmmmmmm! Craig won’t let me wear them now even though i keep dreaming about the snuggliness they will bring! I love the feeling of new sleepwear!

During a grocery shop we spied really good bargains on nappies, so we capitalised and bought a few boxes…just to have!

We bought a nursing chair from ebay, and picked it up today. It actually really exciting to think that soon I’ll be using that to nurse baby Oman. eeek!

I had a midwife appointment last week, who said that baby is lying in the LOA position – ie: head down, back along my left side, bum at my belly button and feet over by my right ribs. Apparently this is the perfect birthing position and as such according to the midwife we have a ‘Gold Star Baby’. 😀 {proud mama}

I spoke to Mum and I am thrilled to hear that she is booking her flights for a visit! wooo!

My sweet sister has bought me a birthing ball – can’t wait for it to arrive.

Mummy Oman has been buying bits and pieces and so every couple of days I keep receiving mysterious packages at work. It’s so exciting, not just for me, but for everyone to stop what they are doing and crowd round as I open the packages! Thanks Mummy O!

I have zero swelling

I have no stretch marks…(yet?)

I have absolutely no problem sleeping! 😀

and we just have to put one more coat of paint on the accent wall in the nursery.

All in all, I am feeling fit as a fiddle and am just getting more and more excited with every passing day. So much so, I have almost totally forgotten about those 16 weeks of morning sickness at the start!

….almost!

Stop back tomorrow if you get a chance – I have a Valentine’s card to share!
See you then!
xoox

I just stumbled upon your blog looking for some inspiration and have been reading through your recent entries. I’m also 32 weeks pregnant! (though by now you’re another week along). Congrats to you! I’m adding a link to your blog on mine.
