Finally a scrapbook layout! I love making layouts, but the truth is that i am incredibly s-l-o-w at making them! ….and as a result it takes me about a week to complete them, stealing a few minutes here and there. SO every now and again I swing towards making cards and other crafty projects which are a bit quicker for me, that way i get some instant gratification.
But ever since Piper came along, every day that passes creates more memories that I want to capture, so hopefully this means that there’ll be layouts to share more frequently in the future, and who knows, maybe with practise I might even get faster at it!
I will always remember Piper’s first bath, not just because it’s one of the many typical milestones, but because it’s a funny story to tell.
Journaling reads: Granny & Granda Oman were here when we were giving you your first bath, as we had to wait until your cord fell off before we could give you a dip. Granny jumped at the chance of sharing one of your first experiences. So we all piled into the bathroom, Daddy was in charge of the bath, Mummy had the camera and Granny & Granda had towels at the ready. As the warm water covered your teeny, tiny body you seemed to love it. It was one of the first times when you were bright eyed and looking at everyone around you. After a good swoosh around, we took you out and Granny rushed forward with a towel. Daddy placed you on top and Granda patted you dry with another towel – the two of them fussing over you, determined not to let you get cold. All of a sudden there was a loud raspberry noise – all eyes turned to you, with mouths wide open in shock! A moment later we were al overcome with laughter. You had left a present in Granny’s towel! Daddy took the plunge, unwrapped you and dipped you back into the bath to clean you up whilst the rest of us hurried around to find more towels. I loved the fact that your first bath will always be so memorable!
