Foxy love

I mentioned in an earlier post that I bought an adorable Gorjuss stamp and for my niece’s birthday card I used the girl image which meant that i had two little foxes ready to go for a card. They seriously make my heart melt, they are the cutest ever.

This is the card I made using those two little cuties. Even Craig commented on how cute it was. :-O

I embossed the fox stamp with black embossing powder and embossing distress ink and then coloured them in using an watercolour pen and some distress inks. I love the way you can dilute the colour with the water to create darker or lighter areas, which gives the illusion of shadows.

My first idea was to have the foxes sitting up against a tree, but then i thought that the embossed woodgrain design would look fantastic. The problem was that the embossing folder wasn’t big enough for my card, so i cut it in two to create a flat panel which i dressed up with some bakers twine. To finish…a little punched heart, chomped corners and some inked edges. Job Done!

But WAIT! Before you jump away from here, I wanted to share a little sneaky peeky with you.

I am working on a Thanksgiving project to share with you, with FREE tutorial videos, and some FREE downloadable journaling cards. I am hoping to have it all ready to launch on the website soon, so keep checking back.

Oh, and here’s some links to the projects used for the foxy card.
Take it easy everyone.
