"Yes, She Said Smiling, I do" (Wedding Scrapbook Layout)

Oh look! Whats this? A layout to share! woohoooo!

Firstly, look at all these yummy, scrummy goodies that managed to squeeze into Craig’s suitcase on the way back from America! ♥

Lots of beautiful craft stuffs, lots of yummy candy and in case you’re wondering, the Candyland Game is for Piper! After watching That 70s show for years and years we just simply had to buy it {to play of course, not to hide naughty stuff inside it!!} 😀

But before I jump into using all these fun supplies, i want to show you a scrapbook layout I finished off last week. When I ordered large prints for the Honeymoon Hunt, I ordered these through photobox, and they always have a little glossy card with the print that is like a receipt. It is almost a contact sheet for the prints you’ve ordered, and the one with the large print was actually a decent size. Normally I chuck these away because until now the prints on them are teeny tiny (not even 1cm squared), but this one screamed scrapbook layout. Here’s the final layout!

When making the banner for the living room I used an 8×8 pad of pattern paper and managed to cut two flags from each piece, and this left 2 long triangles as scraps. These were sitting on my table when I started my layout and so these were part of the inspiration of using this colour scheme.

I wanted the page to also be a home to a couple of pieces of ephemera: the wedding invite, and the printed poem which I had the honour of reading during the ceremony, so I added a panel of text paper but only stuck the bottom edge and the sides so to create a pocket. This is a super easy way to get more from your pages.

The title is from the poem, the last line in fact. It was such a perfect piece to read, and a perfect title i thought! 🙂

The page itself is a mix of old and new products – i’ve been doing that a lot recently, digging into the depths of my stash to give the older stuff a bit of life.
