Last week i shared the card that i made for the consultant/ surgeon that did my spinal surgery last month and i promised to share the other card that i made for the staff at the hospital. I have never experienced anything like it- they were all marvellous, funny, supportive, and just an absolute delight. They really did make the whole thing much easier to deal with, so i wanted to show them my appreciation.
I thought a cute little shaker card would amuse them all, so i created a scene using LawnFawn Joy to the woods stamps & dies to make the birch trees, and then used some bird stamps from my stash to create a flock of birdies. Can you see that i added little nurse hats to them with a copic multi-liner! LOL
I coloured the images using colouring pencils for the birds, and some distress inks and a watercolour brush for the trees – i wanted the birds to pop, and stand out against a muted background.
For the message i just printed this using the computer, but left a space so i could stamp the word ‘wonderful’. I like the way this make the image personal, yet still has a stamped look.
I used some seed needs for the shaker elements – i picked up a 10 bottles at Tiger for £4, so they will last me a long time for sure!
Thanks for stopping by,

Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me?
