Bonjour! The little one picked up a stamp at hobby crafts for Mothers day, from Craft Asylum, called Home Sweet Home. I thought it was cute!
I was instantly drawn to the houses and wanted to create a new home card. I cut some panels using the lawn fawn stitched rectangle dies, and then created a stitched curve using the Paper Smooches border dies. Then, using SSS slate ink, i stamped the houses and fussy cut them out, using a craft knife. For the greeting, i used some SSS stamps, from the Sending and Wishing stamp set – also using the SSS slate ink. I love using this grey tone instead of black – it gives a great impression, but it isn’t as harsh as a black line.
I wanted to give the back panel more interest, so i used some of the other stamps in the set to create a fun, colourful background. I added a few vellum die cut hearts and some gems as a final embellishment. I wanted these clouds to have the same dimension as the front panel (which is adhered by foam tape), so i used little circle foam pads to raise up the clouds – you might not have noticed because i hid the foam with the gems! heeheee!
Thanks for stopping by.
