Funky Foam Die Cuts : Thanks Mister Raccoon

So, i have only just realised that this is a raccoon. I think! For ages i thought this cute critter was a skunk – but today when i looked at the photo, it made total sense that it was a raccoon, not a skunk! Either way, i think he is pretty cute!

And mister Raccoon has a message of thanks for the recipient of this card. For the word thanks, i cut the message out of funky foam (craft foam) using a paper smooches die – i was surprised how easily this cut, and i think it gives a wonderful dimension to the card. I kinda like the way it feels really smooth too. I used Ranger multi medium in matte to stick it to a pink piece of card that i die cut using the Paper Smooches Quotables die.

For the card itself i used a little bit of tumbled glass blue distress ink for the sky, but its hard to see in the photo. At the bottom i created stitched lines with the stitched border dies and added some shabby shutters distress ink to make a grassy area.

My stripy tailed friend is from an old stamp set from Hampton Art called Warm Fuzzies, and he has been coloured using spectrum noir pencils and blending solution.

I also added a few vellum clouds, die cut from the MFT flat bottom clouds dies, and stuck these down using a zig glue pen. Sorry its hard to see clearly in the photo. To add a finishing touch, i embellished with a few pink die cut hearts using the SSS mini hearts die set.

From me, and mister raccoon…thanks for stopping by!
