Nessie's Unbelievable Birthday – ft. Lawn Fawn Stamps {video}

Good morning stamperooneys!:-)

I hope you are having a beautiful day!

In a recent stamp splurge, i bought the Loveable legends stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I have had my eye on it for a while, mostly because of the cute Loch Ness Monster image in there. Seeing as my hubby is Scottish, it seemed like it would be a good investment for my stamp stash! Plus he is super cute!

Today’s card features this awesome image, mixed with some die cutting,inking, copic colouring, heat embossing and a little vellum too. I love that it turned out quite simple, but effective.

Watch the video at the end of this post to see how i made the card – it was fun, and rather a quick one (by my standards anyway!).

In other news, have you seen the new lawn fawn release? OH MY! I am simply in LOVE with the ‘Jump for joy’ set – I have pre-ordered it already! Autumn is my fave so i couldn’t resist! Check out the new release over on the Lawn Fawn blog.

Back to today’s card… to create a little scene, i mixed nessie with some other stamps in the lawn fawn range – the stone from Mermaid for you, and the presents from Toboggan Together. I think it helps build a little story! and I love that all the lawn fawn stamps have a similar style which allows them to be mixed and matched easily!

To colour in the stamped images I used my copic markers. I think it gives Nessie a lovely texture, and I like the way it blends from a dark green to a lighter green.

One of my favourite things about this card is the way that the vellum looks like water, and that you can see Nessie’s flippers through the waves. I think it gives a cool effect! Don’t you?

Oh, almost forgot! To finish off the card, I added one more Lawn Fawn stamped image – the party hat from the Monster Mash stamp set. After all, what’s a party without a party hat?

Have a great weekend my crafty friends!

    What a cute card! I love how you thought to use the vellum to make some waves 🙂
