Hello everyone,
I was a very lucky girl and got some new crafty products for Christmas, one of which was the WRMK Fuse tool, and I thought I would use it for my project today – a fun, shaker card perfect for Valentines day, which features the Little Pick Up stamp and Sending You Sentiments Stamp sets and the Poinsettia sequin mix from Honey Bee Stamps.
After reading some tips online, I let my fuse tool get nice and hot before using it – they recommend 10 minutes at least. Whilst it was heating, I stamped the pickup image from the Honey Bee Stamps Little Pickup set, as well as the heart cargo, onto Neenah cardstock with memento ink, and reached for my copic markers.
I had this heart die cut from the teal chevron patterned paper on my desk from my project last week (click here to see it), and I thought it would make the perfect shape for a cute Valentines tag. So I die cut another heart and glued the two die cuts back to back.
I then stuck the same heart die onto a scrapbook pocket using washi tape, and carefully used the fuse tool to trace around the die, making sure to sprinkle some sequins inside before sealing the top. I used the poinsettia sequin mix, which are a gorgeous mix of reds, whites and clear sequins.
I used my crop-a-dile to add an eye to both the plastic and paper heart, and then threaded a piece of seam binding ribbon through them. Before tying a pretty bow, I added a cute silver charm for extra fun!
I stuck the truck and hearts onto the front using some glue dots, and then decided to add a sentiment on the back of the paper. I used stamps from the Sending You Sentiments set, and heat embossed these with liquid platinum embossing powder from Ranger. Lucky for me, this sentiment fit perfectly inside one of the smaller heart dies and was the perfect final touch for this sweet shaker tag!
Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting!
