You Are Beautiful – Mixing Honey Bee Stamps Products Together!

Hello and Happy Monday to all!

Thanks for joining me today for another card making tutorial, featuring some of the awesome products from Honey Bee Stamps.

Have you all broken your New Years Resolutions yet? 🙂 Rather than giving myself definite resolutions, I now simply set myself some vague goals, and this year I want to get back into using patterned paper for my projects. I have so many pads of paper, and I have been a bit naughty and I have obviously bought more than I use.

So – in this card, you will see some patterned paper – YAY! The polka dot paper in the middle is from an Echo park 6×6 paper pad, and to coordinate with this teal colour, I added a stamped frame around the rectangular panel using the floral cargo stamp from the Little Pickup stamp set. To get a nice mitred corner, I used post it tape so each of my edges would have a crisp diagonal edge at the end. Because of the style of the stamp, you can hardly notice it unless you look really close!

For the flowers, I used the sweet Lotus Blossom stamp and coloured these in using very light tones of copic marker. Then for an added sparkle, I used the sakura stardust glitter pen to create lines on the inside of the stamped edges. It’s really hard to get the full effect on camera, in real life it is so breathtaking!

For the sentiment, I paired up the beautiful honeycut die with a stamp from the Beautiful Life stamp set, but this time I brought a dark grey colour to the palette. I think it contrasts nicely with the pink, and still makes the teal colour really POP!

And of course a card isn’t complete without some embellishments, is it? 🙂 I used my multi medium to add some star sequins from the Poinsettia sequin mix, and a few clear dew drops as well.
