Last month I shared a project with you which demonstrated another cool way to use your bind-it-all machine in order to make a fun and functional jewellery or accessory holder.

I absolutely love it, and find it so easy to find the exact necklace I want instead of poking through drawers in my jewellery box. Well, during a visit to my house for a girlie movie night, when we ate popcorn and watched Twilight, Andie spied my new creation and with a sparkle in her eye revealed that she wanted one too. And of course to no surprise to me, she didn’t care what design it was as long as it was PINK!
So here is the finished piece for Andie, complete with pink background as requested, and black accents. I chose to use flourishes and a monogram style, along with some fairies and bling . Can’t really get much more girly than that.
She loved it.
To see the original accessory holder that I made for myself, check out my previous blog post here.

Love making mini books?
If you have answered yes to the two questions above, then you should really check out todays project – a keychain mini book.
Let me introduce you to my fur baby Miya. Miya is a part Bengal feline fuss-pot that completes our family trio (at least until we decide to have ‘real’ babies). She is very clever, and 100% manipulative, and has no qualms about letting us know who is the boss (so much so that i’ve actually made a layout about it so watch this space). She makes me laugh, and she also makes me pull my hair out at times.
She has more quirks than I can count, but her uniqueness makes me love her more and more.
To share but a few: she doesn’t really like chicken, but loves sweetcorn. She will lick the tomato ketchup from your bacon sandwich, but turn her nose up at the actual bacon. She likes to drink water from the tap, and likes playing in the bath. She brought back her first ‘present’ from her adventures outside – no it wasn’t a mouse, or a frog, or a bird – it was a tub of fish food (and we don’t know where she got it from)! Oh yes, and she pees and poops in the toilet – which is awesome! :0)
I have hundreds of photos of Miya, and a lot of them capture different elements of her personality, and this little mini book is all about her.
I hope you’ve enjoyed meeting Miya and perhaps you’ll even try making a little keychain mini book yourself about some you know. Don’t forget you can leave me a comment here.

I was just messing one day and I was running my hands through my tub of flower embellishments, smiling at the pretty colours and designs. I had an idea!
Ten minutes later, I had a pretty little flower hair barrette as a fashion accessory fit for even the classiest fashionista!
All you need is the following humble list of craft goodies:

– Flower embellishments -preferably fabric ones such as these ones by Do Crafts, as the paper ones will disintegrate especially over here with the wet weather we often get.
– Jewel Brads, from Dovecraft
– Charm Brads, from Dovecraft
– A kirby clip
– A small piece of felt
– Glue gun
Assemble the barrette by pushing the gem brad through the charm and the flower. Fold back the legs of your brad to secure the flower. Cut a small rectangle of felt slightly smaller than the flower, and push between the legs of your kirby clip. All you have to do is stick this to the back of the flower with a hot glue gun, and if you are really clever you will be able to hide the legs of the brad under the felt.

I want to make a selection with as many colours as possible so I can wear these with every possible clothes combo this summer. :0)
