I wanted to share this video tutorial on how to make Paper Roses, especially before Valentine’s day this weekend! I am getting addicted to making these flowers, and I have big plans to put them onto a home decor project. {Watch this space!}
Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see more pictures of the paper roses.
The sample card that I have made features this Luxury Paper stack from DCWV.
I love the pearlescent sheen and the sheer elegance of these papers (well, in fact they are more scrapbook cardstock quality then paper). It makes them perfect for wedding cards, or romantic projects. As you can see from the video, I also spritzed the rose with some Pearl Glimmer Mist to give the rose an equally elegant sheen. I wonder who is going to be the lucky person who gets this card!

And also another element of proof that I have had my sewing machine out!
There isn’t much to say about this card, but it does make an impact. The lovely lavender shades, the elegant embossed image with a distressed twist incorporated by the Worn Lines rubber stamp.
The dark purple section is a small piece of embossed card that I laid upside down on a craft sheet, then I rubbed some dusty concorde distress inks over it. The ink is absorbed into the flat areas, but the de-bossed bits remain untouched. Personally I think placing this next to the plain lavender embossed card piece at the bottom makes a nice contrast.

I wanted to share a little piece of my craft room with you today. Nothing overly complex, but a little insight to how I store one of my favourite craft products….GLUE DOTS!
