I am excited to have a video up for Heffy Doodle today, featuring this sweet bear from Beary Big Heart, and the sentiment from Happy Snappy Crocs. I have paired it up with the Pinata stamp from Lawn Fawn. Doesn’t he look like he is having a fun time?!
In the video I am sharing how to create this card from start to finish, including how to add a pop of colour to some boring old while embossing paste, and how you can use this with stencils to create fun dimensional backgrounds.
I have used sentiments from the Happy Snappy Crocs stamp set, and used my MISTI so i could stamp them a few times to build up the colours. I wanted to bring in the other colours in the card, for example the pink in the pinata.
Oh, and don’t forget to join in the Heffy Doodle challenge!
What??? you don’t know about it! well you will definitely want to check it out as you can win the whole new release worth $300! Check out the details here.
There’s still time to get crafty and enter! I will see you guys at the next LIVE #comecraftwithme stream at http://youtube.com/hungryheffy
On Friday night we had another Come Craft With Me LIVE YouTube stream over on my YouTube channel.
Three cards were made… Let’s take a look
First up is this card using MFT stamps. I coloured these with copics during the week whilst piper was getting crafty. I used a little cracked pistachio distress ink on the background then used a brush blending tool to create a lilac background for the letter dies (also MFT) .
When I was assembling the card, I found some die cut hearts in yellow which made the perfect addition to these huggy friends – so to balancethe design I also added a yellow sentiment below using another MFT stamp set.
Next up, I wanted to make a card for Elizabeth and Paul, who are moving to Wales on Monday (sniff!). A viewer on the stream suggested that the card should be covered in wHales – lol! So here’s what happened!
I used my twinkling h2os to add a shimmer to these heat embossed lawn fawn whales. I love the shimmer! I then built a shaker panel with vellum, and added glitter inside- although through the vellum it does look more like sand! Still like it though!
Cadd three is always when I start getting tired – ha! But I poked through my coloured images and found these cute MFT dragon, prince and princess, along with a frame cut using studio katia’s dotted detail set.
I inked the die cut background using spun sugar, worn lipstick & abandoned coral distress ink. I thought that this card needed a little something more, so I added the volcano from Heffy Doodle Geology Rocks stamp set.
I thought some ink splatter would look fun, and I paired up the I Lava you sentiment from Heffy Doodle with the slay a dragon sentiment from MFT. What a perfect pair!

Happy Monday! Woo! Easter holidays are over, and miss Pi is back at school, which means I can actually get some work done today- woohoo! 🙂 It’s been lovely having her round the house, but let’s just say i am also glad to be able to clean the house without turning round to a mess again! LOL
Right,… you are not here to talk about housework – let’s take a look at my card for today! 🙂
I have made a shaker card for today, made with some images that I pre-stamped and pre-coloured (so my apologises that the colouring is not on the video). I like to bring my copics to the coffee shop to keep me amused, and these lil’ guys certainly did keep me amused.
My original idea was to have a scene with Mumma and Papa snail saying cheerio to their little guy as he goes off on an adventure. Aren’t these guys so cute!? They are from Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens set, and I also used Lawn Fawn stiched cluod backdrop along with the grassy hillside pop up die.
For my shaky bits, i used silver star sequins, clear seed beads and the Cottage Garden mix from Lucy’s little things. I also added some cute flowers from the MFT Stiched flower dynamics.
For the sentiment, i used a set called Up and Away from Mama Elephant – i thought this message was cute, and i love the combo of the two fonts. First I cut out a banner shaped aperture so that i had a smooth surface to stamp on.
There you go!
