Did you guys get super crafty over the weekend to celebrate (inter) National Scrapbook Day? I noticed quite a hive of activity on Instagram and Facebook groups, with lots of challenges and other fun ways to get the creative juices flowing.
Unfortunately i didn’t get a chance to get scrappy, as we had other plans over the weekend. Plus, it has been sooooooo long since i scrapped it would probably take me all week to finish a page! 🙂
I’ve been watching some Sketchbook tour videos on YouTube recently, especially from some artists and illustrators that i follow, and so i thought it might be fun to share a scrapbook tour with you guys. It seemed only fitting, seeing as it was iNSD recently.
So here is a video showing you one of my most recent scrapbooks. Yes, the products will be older, but a lot of the design techniques and layouts will, i’m sure, still be used for inspiration.
I hope that you are inspired by some of my layouts, and maybe even get a bit crafty yourself!
The sun in shining and Lesley is smiling!! 😀 Doesn’t the world seem better when there is sunshine!? YEAH!
Did you notice that i updated my photo over there on the right! –>
In the previous photo I had short blonde hair, and as I now have long brown hair, it really didn’t look much like me! I thought it was time for an update! It was one of those things that i had been meaning to do for ages but didn’t quite get round to it! I know you guys know what i mean! One of those things that gets pushed from one list to the next!
Speaking of which, there was something else on that perpetual list that i finally managed to cross out … a YouTube channel trailer video for new visitors!
(Oh my gosh, i feel so productive all of a sudden!!)
I finally did it! Go me!! I even stepped in front of the camera! You guys see my crafty fingers all the time, but rarely get to see my mug! <3
If you are already subscribed the the HungryHeffy YT channel, (... thank you, thank you, thank you!!...) then you probably won't see it as it's usually only for new visitors, so here it is for you to enjoy! It might well be the best 90 seconds of your day! (but i'm not promising anything! 🙂 heehee)
It would be rude not to share a little craftiness with you guys so here’s a card i made a little while back that didn’t have a video. I don’t think i have shared it before, apart from on Instagram! Isn’t she a cutie!?
I used the partial die cutting technique to create a frame around this little foxy girl. I really must do this again as it is super fun! I like the way there is a flat bit which looks a bit like the ground, and it also leaves lots of room for the greeting. ,
I used copic markers to colour her and her furry friends. I think the foxes are so sweet. I wish i had a fox!
The word ‘Hello’ is from a die cut – and I used a little distress ink to give it a blue hue, and added a little stamping underneath! Lovely jubbly!
That’s all for now, but i also wanted to say that i am working on a Scrapbook Tour video in honour of (inter) National Scrapbook Day last weekend! so watch this space!!
Hey there guys! and a very Happy Mothers’ day to my overseas friends! I hope you all get celebrated with love, and i hope you all get spoilt rotten too! <3
Today's card is a New Home card for my colleague Eamonn, and it features some of my fave stamp companies as well as a new (to me) company that i am very impressed with! 🙂
I was cooing over my recent purchase - the mama elephant All Prettied Up die set - and i realised that the box looked a bit like the roof of a house. So seeing as i wanted to make a New Home card for Eamonn anyway, i thought i would give it a whirl!
Isn't mister Tortoise cute! At Piper's school this week, one of the teachers brought in their pet tortoise to show the class. Princess Pi was very impressed that she knew the difference between a tortoise and a turtle! Bless her! She was doing better than me because i'm pretty sure i referred to this wee guy as a turtle in the video! Whooopsie!
So as usual, i was playing with Distress Inks, and some Lawn Fawn and Mama Elephant goodies, but i added a SSS stamp from the Sending Happy Mail stamp set, and i also used a stamp set from Clearly Besotted, called Sentimental Type. I recently picked up two CB stamp sets (both crammed packed with greetings) and so far i am liking the quality and the variety! I hope I get a chance to try out some more of their range.
